Love falls upon me,
Strong
Hate falls upon me,
Long
Pain born from your hand
Night after night,
Tears upon my wedding band
Holes burned in my skin
Marks of flame
Burning hate and desire
Smoke tendrils
Embrace my pain
And mask it
Behind a veil of sin again
A child is here
The cops are comin’
Screaming
Shouting
All a runnin’
As blood flows
By your hand
Staining the silver band,
Demon’s laughter
Behind the door
Sends shivers up my spine
I feel sick
Consumed by guilt
A phone I dared not dial
Lies in my hand
Sirens blare
And with them
You disappear…
The world falls from its place in heaven
Down to pits of fire
Burning in my heart
I love you
“Hurt me” I cry,
“Give me your pain.”
Why is it even when they take you away, I’m still the one in chains?
