Chapter 1 - Professor Pickle

Once upon a time, there was a man called Professor Pickle. Professor Pickle was a crazy scientist who most of the time kept his experiments secret. He had a couple of friends who helped him with his experiment.

But one day, he spotted an asteroid that was heading towards Earth. That was one of the things he didn't keep secret. He emediately told the world and scientists everywhere tried to find the asteroid. Some were succesful, but some where not. The scientists tried to figure out a way to stop the asteroid and Professor Pickle figured out a way.

If he could build a spacecraft that was not very big, but really fast, he could split the asteroid and save Earth. But there was a problem. They would have to do it when the asteroid was far away, since if they did it when it was close, the asteroid would destroy the spacecraft before it even hits the asteroid. This also means that the spacecraft would have to be manned. Since the scientists still had some time left to think, they tried to come up with another way, but they were unsuccesful.

They started building the spacecraft and while they were building, they asked people if there was anyone who wanted to sacrifice themselves to save the world. When they were done with the spacecraft, no one had replied, so Professor Pickle decided to do it.

They put up the spacecraft on the launch platform and Professor Pickle boarded it. The mission control started a countdown of nine minutes. Professor Pickle checked so that everything was in place and told the mission control. In the last minute of the countdown, Professor Pickle thought about what he had experienced in his life, but he also felt a feeling that something was wrong.

He thought about it for a while, but could not find what was wrong, so he didn't tell the mission control. In the last ten seconds of the countdown, Professor Pickle's heart was pounding very fast and in the last three seconds, he thought: "Why did I do this?".

When the spacecraft launched, he said to himself: "Now there's no turning back". Suddenly, he started to get nauseous and he told the mission control. The mission control replied: "Probably just space-sickness". Suddenly, Professor Pickle passed out. When the mission control discovered this, a couple of seconds later, they decided to release a little bit of the oxygen in the tank. When they, did this, Professor Pickle woke up and the mission control told him to put on the emergency space suit. He did as the mission control said and nothing more happened for a while, untill...

Suddenly, the spacecraft ran out of oxygen and stopped. Professor Pickle told the mission control, but he was right in the path of the asteroid, so they told him to not do anything. Professor Pickle did as they said and fell asleep. When
