Tori's pov

"The train will end here, due to a tree falling over the track near the station. We shall be heading back to London Waterloo and We apologise for the inconvenience caused."

A groan erupted from the whole carriage.

I now had a choice. I could stay on the train and travel all the way back to Waterloo, but my friends would've all left the party by now as it was 3 am, and would be heading home. I turned on my phone to text them and see if anyone could pick me up.

Just my luck, it was out of battery.

I decided to get off the train and walk home even though there were about four stops to go, but while I was making this decision we had already moved one stop further than where I wanted to be.

Great.

At this station, five stops from home, I wobbled out of the train in my black stiletto heels and made my way to the exit.

I stepped out of the station and the cold air struck me immediately.

I saw a line of tired, irritated business men and women muttering angrily to themselves as they queued for a taxi.

I opened my purse to see if I had enough money to get me nearer home.

Again just my luck, all I had was 28p.

"Damn" I cursed at myself. Why did I spend so much money at that stupid party? I didn't even enjoy myself, I just sat in the corner and drank!

And my being drunk made my brain slightly more open to stupid suggestions. Which was why I was stupid enough to let myself walk home. It was only five stops by train. I guess my drunk mind misjudged the distance.

"Five train stops is only like five steps right!? 'Cause stops and steps rhyme so they must be the same!"

I gave myself a heavy pat on the back for thinking of such a good theory, then fell to the ground as I misjudged the strength of the pat.

I sat on the floor and shook my head like a puppy, then chuckled to myself.

The chuckling got louder and I found myself in hysterics on cold, dirty street concrete.

I noticed there was a large crowd of people watching me, with confusion plastered on their nosy faces. So I glared and growled at them.

Wow I really was drunk.

After standing up, finding stability, losing it, then finding it again, I decided to ask for directions from my audience.

The time I left the station was about 3:20am

Although I am an extremely clumsy and forgetful person, I do find it easy to remember times.

At about 3:22 I was lost.

A minute later I found a sign, turned around and was back on my path.

At 3:30 i was feeling dizzy, drunk and cold.

At 3:35 the tiredness kicked in.

I had walked for about half a mile. I realised I was alone in this street, not even cars drove past me. But I liked being alone. I enjoyed walking solitary down the street, with nobody to bother me.

At 3:40 my heel broke so I started walking barefoot.

At 3:45 it started to rain.

At 3:50 I was struggling to keep myself walking upright.

And at 4:00 I collapsed.

I guess it was a mixture of tired, drunk, cold, and wet that caused me to fall, but the reason I fell unconscious was my head hitting the cold, solid, pavement. Hard.
