It was the middle of spring
The day was April 27th
It was my birthday
And it was the greatest
My boyfriend bought me a daisy
He knew it was my favoirte
He told me he loved me
And brought me on a picnic
The entire day
It was just him and I
We just sat in the grass
And watched cars pass by
He brought his guitar
And sang me a song
It was the greatest day ever
But I had a feeling it wouldn't last long
My alarm clock went off at 6:58
Of course it was a dream
Something like that would never happen to me
