I saw him. I was in hot pursuit, running, jumping, chasing after him. I'm not much of a hero, but if I see someone get mugged in an alley, I'm probably going to do something. Damn he was fast, but I knew New York City. I took a shortcut through the street and tackled him at the closet moment. We were on the ground, wrestling, trying to fight for a purse. Someone I didn't even know. God I hoped there was something worth fighting for in here. As we were on the ground, I noticed he had stopped moving. I opened my eyes to find the man I was punching had two bullet holes in his chest. I was shocked. Very shocked. So shocked I may have screamed high pitched. I quickly turned around. There was a woman that had a gun pointed straight at my head. I started to panic. I guess this is what happens when you try to play hero. I started noticed something. I knew this woman. It's not like I'd met her, just seen her somewhere. Then I realized, this was the woman I had been risking my life for.
