Cream colored parchment shook in the grip of pale, alabaster fingers. Long, black nails nearly tore through the lines and cracks of the creases. Cherry red lips quivered as bright red eyes followed the arranged letters painted on the parchment. The arranged letters told Princess Veronica of the quantity of deaths reported for the past month.
