Break Even [A Percabeth Fan Fiction]

Wandering the halls can be a nightmare. People always watching you. Especially if your a new kid. Seeing what you look like. How you walk. Trying to figure out every little bone and dirty secret in your body...

My name is Annabeth Chase. I'm currently 17 years old. My birthday is on June 16. And if I were to describe myself in one word..........average.

Just an average girl living an average life. Well, trying to at least.

Goode High is a new place for me. New people. New teachers. New classes.

I pile my books in my locker. According to my schedule,  Algebra is first. I take out my book. The title is The Fault Within Our Stars I only got to page 5, but I heard it was a good book. I started to read it while walking down the hall.

Step 1 in going to a new school: Don't read books while walking down the hall.

You know how when you jump time seems to slow down.

That kind of happened when I ran into someone and my head hit the marble floor.

The last thing I saw before I passed out was a guy over me with raven hair and sea-green eyes saying, "I'm so sorry. Are you ok? I have to carry you to the nurse."

I woke up but didn't open my eyes because I heard people talking. "So you're sure she'll be ok?" I recognize that voice. It was that guy that hit me.

"Yes, she'll be fine. When she wakes up I will check for a concussion."

That must've been the nurse.

"Ok. Can I wait in here until she wakes up?"

What?? That guy has got to be a creep.

"Yes, but when she wakes up, you will have to leave. I have to go get her medicine. I will be back in ten minutes. If she wakes up, put ice on her head."

That's about when I noticed some t thing is wrapped on my head. Then it started to throb, really bad. It took all my will power not to scream out before the nurse left. I have to see who this guy is.

Once the nurse left. I winced a little bit. Then, I felt ice to my head. The pain was instantly gone.

The guy said, " I know you are awake. You can open your eyes."

I opened my eyes and saw that  raven haired kid holding ice on my head.

" Sorry I hit you in the head." he said.

"Its ok." I said.

Then, he said, "By the way nice to meet you. My name is Perseus Jackson."

I know the story was short. But if I get a request I will post another chapter that will be longer.
