I woke up with a vision from Dalton's point of view. He was swimming toward Tremp, specifically the moon pool. He stopped for a second and looked around at the reef, then to the trident in his hand before he continued on his way to the moon pool.
"Mom! Wake up!" I shook my mom, causing her to shoot up.
"Alyssa, what's wrong?"
"It's Dalton. He's on his way here with the trident."
"He can't come here with that."
"Is the full moon over?"
She looked up to the hole above the moon pool, where the sun was starting to shine. "Yeah, it should be over."
"So he's coming here as himself?"
"Yeah. He should be back to normal."
"Then why is he bringing the trident?"
"He might not know what it can do to the moon pool and us."
"I'll mind message him."
Dalton?
Alyssa. Thank God you're okay. Did I hurt you last night?
A little. The trident knocked me on my back, but I'm okay.
I'm so sorry. I don't know what I was doing or where the trident even came from. I'm coming out to the moon pool to talk to you, Mom, and Maddy.
Yeah, I know and you can't come here, not with the trident.
Two questions, how do you know? And why not?
I got a vision and the trident could kill Mom, Maddy, and I and destroy the moon pool.
Really? I'll get rid of it. It won't ever come near the moon pool or you guys.
Thanks. Where are you going to put it?
I don't know. Just away from you. I don't want to hurt you. I'll come to the moon pool when it's safely put away.
No, don't. I need to get back home for school and so do you. See you back at my house?
Sure. I love you, sis.
Love you too.
"Mom, Maddy and I need to get back to my house to get ready for school. I'll come by after school, with Dalton."
"Sounds good. Have a good day at school, you two."
Maddy and I swam out of the moon pool and back to the beach right behind my house. We climbed out and quickly dried off before running inside to get ready for school.
"Alyssa, Maddy, you guys are okay. We thought something happened. How was the moon pool last night?" My mom asked as soon as we walked in.
"Okay, but I would've rather been here with you guys, watching movies."
"So, what's the deal with that trident?" Diana asked.
"I'll explain later, but right now, we need to get ready for school."
Maddy and I went up to our bedroom and quickly got dressed.
"Guys, I know you had a stressful night, but we need to go in like ten minutes," Sarah said through the door.
