An Average Morning

(ZODIAC'S POV)

Am average morning may differ for many people considering their lifestyle, but for me nothing beats the simple rush of a successful breakfast steel.

"ZODIAC, you just missed the turn" my partner said into my ear comm sanpping me out of my thoughts.

"Reg every road is connected on this planet, don't worry your gonna get breakfast" I replied in a really smart ass tone as I took the next left into an ally. Taking off my helmet I opened my backpack and looked at my current haul. Three jogans and a maylurun, I'm so getting the maylurun. 

"meow"

I jumped as a robot cat jumped from the roof of the building I was under, onto a dumpster, and down onto the pavement then trotted up to my feet. The chest of the cat opened reveling a hollow area, i pulled out two of the jogans and put them inside the droid. 

"Now get !" I hissed at the 'animal' kicking my foot out. With a final hiss the thing ran back up the building the same way it came down and back to Reg. 

With that done it was time to do my favorite thing, (besides hacking I fricken love hacking), EATING. With that thought in mind I climbed on top of a nearby building making sure to go towards a different building than the droid because one thing I don't want to do is for Reg to see I kept the maylurun that boy loves mayluruns so much I think he has a kink for it. Climbing to the top of a building two allies down from the one me and the 'cat' was just in and began to chow down. 

"Z, you start work yet ?" the voice of my dad filled my ears and made me slightly smile to jear him not cussing in the morning.

"The empire must be ending if my father Kallus isn't cussing the rising sun" I laughed into my wrist comm having taken off my helmet to eat.

"Just anwser the question boy" my dad said into his comm, I could jut feel his eyes roll.

"Nah, I'm still eating breaking breakfast" I responed smacking into the comm to prove my point.

"Fattie" he responded making me give a light laugh.

"wonder who I get it from Chubs'' I falsely snapped back. With another light laugh and a final 'get to work' he cut the comm link. I sighed, I missed my dad. Of course I see him every now and again when I give him really important information too dangrous to give over holo, but I never see him like a normal father sees his son. With a final sigh I finished my breakfast and stood up. Jumping down from the roof I ran 'home' to get my speeder bike, the base I was a long, LONG way away.

------------------TIME SKIP---------------

"UGGGH !" I yelled as I walked into my 'home'. That job took way longer than intended. I looked at the clock and almost craped myself I ran to my makeshift holo-reciver and  conncted my dad as quickly as alien possible.

"Dad, Dad you there ?" I asked looking at the projection. I let out a breath as my dad's faced appered. 

"ZODIAC !, where on lothal have you been ?, I thought you had gotten caught". I gave a short chuckle,

"It's gonna take more than a few of you mushroom caps to catch me". At that statement he rolled his eyes at me and I began giving him the information that I found in the base.

"Shit, with this type of armor the rebels blasters look like toys", dad breathed out looking at new S-T armor blueprints. I looked at him half lidded and yawned.

"Hey Z, before you pass out on me I got some news for ya". At that I got instantly got interested in my dads speech. Noticing me sitting up he smiled and continued.

"A... partner of mine and his crew are picking you up tomorrow an hour before dawn".

"WAIT WHAT !, how come I'm just finding out about this ?" I asked my excintment exchanged with confusion. It's not the first time he's done this before, but usually he tells me at least a week before hand.

"Just tell me how long I'll be gone" I said still confused as to why he didn't tell me before hand.

"This is, how should I put it, permanent". I laughed so hard at that one my purple skin turned almost turned pink.

"Now THAT was  a good one dad" I said catching my breath, "now for real how long am I going to be gone for.

"Zodiac I'm not kidding, now get your stuff ready and go to bed" and with that he disconnected.

I stared at the holo machine for a good ten seconds before I really sunk in. I'm moving.

Not wanting to upset my dad I did as told and packed my stuff witch wasn't a lot for obvious reasons, and went to bed still thing of the adventure that waited for me tomorrow.
