End of The World

Secrets

Our team now has Jake, Dylan, Emily, Hanna, Luckless, Paola, and me. We've fed Toby and his big brother to the zombies.

"So, what do you guys do?" Landon asked us one day during lunch.

"We survive." Hanna said bitterly.

"Other than that." Landon snapped at her.

They've been acting like this since Landon came back and I was getting tired of it! Wouldn't you get tired of it if they kept arguing around you? [4th wall break!!!!] I walked over to them and right away a zombie came up to Landon and knelt down. How the hell!? I thought and pulled out my pistol.

Landon took my pistol away from me and ordered the zombie to do something and it ran away. We all looked at him like he was a mad-man.

"Stupid zombie." He said and walked off after giving me my pistol back.

I looked at everyone and they shrugged it off. I walked over to the stair case that led to the roof and walked up it. When i got to the top, i opened the door and walked out onto the roof. Right then, something hit me and my vision went black.

Fire. So much fire. Everything burning. The masive heat being overwhelming and then fire was on my hands. Two balls of fire in my hands.

When i woke up, i was in a cold sweat. I heard screaming from down the ground. I looked over the ledge and saw a girl and boy down there killing the hoard that was around the entrance to the mall. I grabbed a sniper rifle that was always on the roof of the mall and started shooting down the zombies one by one. There were too many of them and suddenly, a bullet incased in fire shot from the rifle and the bullet shattered on the ground, killing like 20 zombies at once.

My team let the boy and girl inside and when I made it down stairs to sre who it was, the boy was turning. I pushed the girl to the side and the boy bit right into my neck! I felt blood seep down my arm from my neck and someone killed the boy. I placed my hand over the new bite to stop as much of the bleeding as I can.

"What happened!?" Landon said, walking over to us.

"Ash got bitten!" Luckless said quickly.

"What!" Landon yelled.

"Its ok. I just need it bandaged." I said, leaning against a wall.

Emily and Hanna grabbed some bandages and wrapped the bite on my neck. Luckless and Landon looked worried but at the same time confused. Landon went out to patrol the area while Luckless was talking with the other girls. Dylan and Jake helped me to the sleeping area of the mall and I layed down on my bed.

"Does he know that you're immune, Ash?" Dylan asked.

"No he doesn't." I said, closing my eyes.  Everyone but Landon and Luckless know that im immune to the virus.

"we should tell landon and luckless that you and jake are immune! what if one of them try to kill you guys after you get bitten!" dylan said.

"it won't come down to that. i was bitten in the arm and ash was bitten in the arm and now neck, lets hope you weren't bitten by a  vampire zombie." jake joked. "just joking!"

the guys left and i fell asleep. the same dream came.

fire and fire and more fire. dual swords covered in fire. someone was calling my name but then "Fireheart". a name i haven't heard in multiple years.

i woke up in a cold sweat again. the name "fireheart" in my head. who was "fireheart"? who was saying my name? i heard someone walking around and decided to see who it was. i left the safety of my bed, slipped my boots on and grabbed my pistols. i saw who was walking around and they were talking to a zombie! i snuck up behind the guy and placed my pistol at the back of his head, then he swung a sword at me and i dodged it. i got a look at the guy's face and it was landon.

i aimed my pistols at his head, ready to shoot him. he placed the tip of his sword near my throat. "you are so much like her..." he trailed off. i looked at him confused and that is when he sheathed his sword and helped me up.

"who am i like?" i asked him, my pistols pointed at his head.

"the queen of FireLight from centuries ago. she was named Ash Fireheart and controlled fire and could use dual swords. she had defeated me before but then i was killed and started a new life each time came back to life." he said, his face completely straight.

"i'm no queen's descendant." i say, pushing one my pistols closing to his head.

"Not a descendant. A reincarnation."

"A rebirth. Ok. That makes 'more' sense." I said, scoffing.

"Have you had dreams of some kind of magic? Some kind of weapon?" He asks me.

"Ya, why would it matter?" I said.

"Have you heard your name and 'Fireheart' together?"

"Yes..."

"You are her. You are the queen of Firelight!" He said, lowering himself so that he was on one knee.

"Dont bow to me, please!" I say quickly.

"Ok." He says, straightening up.

"whats going on here?" jake ask as he came out of the shadows, making me jump.

"looks like Ash and Landon are planning something, Jake. Maybe we should kick them both out? i would love to see them eaten alive!" paola said coming out from behind Jake, she had a gun to his head.

the look on jake's face was one of horror. the look on paola's face was one of mischief and evil. she was holding jake against his will, making him pull out his gun and aim for me. i dropped my pistols to the ground and placed my hands on the back of my head. i felt some kind of handel in my hand and the next thing i do is something i would never do. i pulled out a sword and suddenly had it to paola's throat. her face had fear written all over it. she aimed her gun at me and fired. i do not remember what happened next, all i know is that blood was spilled and a writhing pain was in my left shoulder.
