That night the three of us huddled in the living room on the couch, telling stories about our Dad.

"I remember one time, before he sent AJ and I away and when Mom was still alive, we all went to that Drive In Movie thing the town had as a fundraiser," I smiled. Cody laughed and AJ nodded.

"I remember that" she agreed. "Dad had to order like 7 buckets of popcorn because Cody kept knocking his over," she laughed.

"And when it started raining we had to go home, so he stopped at a DVD rental store and got us the movie to finish watching at home," Cody continued.

"He always did try to take care of us...even sending us away was him trying to take care of us in his own way," I trailed off softly.

"It worked out in the end, you're both better off there than here," Cody said softly and got up.

"What do you mean?" I questioned, following after him.

"Nothing Nevada, you and AJ should get some rest, it's been a long day," he sighed and walked upstairs to his room.

"Something's going on here," AJ said with narrowed eyes.

"Wanna find out what?" I smirked.

You can say a lot of things about magic and how it works, but you can't say that it doesn't come in handy. Our coven is unique, over the ages our ancestors began to specialize in fortune telling and other charms. As time progressed it became a specialty of our coven, because we channeled out ancestors and therefore grew stronger with every generation.

With some effort the members of our coven can see weeks into the future, turn into animals and even had a feint bit of mind control.

Hence us having to keep quiet about exactly who we were in the supernatural world.

As we started chanting I was bombarded with images of the town and the people living in it. Fangs clouded my vision and all at once I understood why Cody wanted to keep us away. Vampires, witches and even the legendary Hybrid had taken up residence in our home town in the last few years.

One particular image shocked me more than the rest, that of the guy from the bar going up in flames.

"Oh hell," AJ muttered.

"Even the Original Family are here," I groaned.

"And someone is going to kill one of them, tomorrow night," she continued. I flinched again at the image.

"They want the cure, they want to raise Silas...we can't let this happen," I gritted my teeth with finality.

---

We spent the next day trying to get a clear image to lead us to the scene, but it proved difficult. We were never able to see our own futures, and once we decided to get involved the image got murky.

"It's almost dark, one more time," I prompted.

I focused all my energy on trying to grab a specific picture and not let go. I scrunched my eyes in frustration as I tried to look past the Original bursting into flames.

Then I saw the outside of a white house, followed by a street name.

"I know where it is!" I exclaimed and jumped to my feet.

"Well we're going to need a birds eye view to get there in time," AJ murmured and I nodded. I willed my body to change and felt a tingle run through my limbs.

Within seconds two owls were perched where we had just been standing, and without a second to lose we took off - flying low in search of the street I had seen.

Seeing it, I led my sister to a landing behind a bush in the houses back yard and we quickly changed back.

"No screaming yet, so I guess we aren't too late," I said heavily and forced a smile.

We stayed hidden until we heard a door slam, and peering out behind the bush I saw him. He was leaving the house with his jaw clenched and I realized if we couldn't stop him from entering again he was as good as dead.

I looked around desperately for something to distract him with and my eyes fell on some small nearby stones. I closed my eyes and muttered an incantation, and with a flick of the wrist I sent them flying at him.

Only when they hit him square in the head did I fully understand what I had done.

He spun around, eyes blazing for the source, and a wave of shock ran through me.

"Run," I whispered and bolted while AJ took off in the opposite direction.

I didn't get 3 feet before I felt a pair of hands roughly grab my shoulders and spin me around. I found myself facing him.

My breath hitched as veins covered his face and his fangs extended, I tried to fight back but he was too strong. He bit into my neck, sucking the blood from the puncture marks he had made, my struggles barely fazing him.

"Nevada!" came AJs voice, and I tried to find her in the dots swarming my vision. But instead I noticed a wooden rake laying in the yard to my right. I shakily lifted my hand and reached for it.

It flew into my outstretched hand and without a second thought I stabbed it into his chest.

He let go of me and I stumbled backwards, holding my hand to my neck as I stared at him in shock. His skin was starting to grey and I couldn't place the look on his face as he looked at me in disbelief before falling to the floor, dead.

I slowly kneeled down next to him and dug through his jacket pocket for the stake I saw the Hunter use in my vision.

"That won't kill him, right?" I asked as AJ staggered towards me.

"Not if what the coven taught us is true," she answered shakily.

We used magic to move his body a few blocks away so that he wasn't out in the open for everyone to see.

"Let's go home, and throw this stake in the river along the way," I said rolling my eyes, hand still pressed to my neck and holding the stake in the other.
