She woke up. Ariel yawns, then she sat up in her bed. She looked at the clock. The clock read six o'clock. She stared at the piano tucked away at the back of the room. On top of the piano was some blank staff paper. She was writing a song for her class. She had finished half of it the day before. In class that day Ariel would have time to work on it. She looked to the side of her bed trying to find her wheelchair. Ariel had been disabled from birth. Her feet were deformed. She hopped off the bed into the wheelchair.Ariel's family was small. It consisted of two people. Ariel's Dad and Ariel. Her mother passed away during childbirth. Her father was the owner of a large company. You could say that her family was wealthy. Her house was a three story mansion. Ariel lived on the first floor. The house had an elevator so that she could easily reach every floor.
Ariel finished getting dressed, so she rolled out of her room. She headed over to the dining room where food was set upon the table. All sorts of breakfast food was on the table. Anywhere from french toast to eggs to rolls. Ariel was sort of spoiled. She was an only child and she really does not have anyone except her father. Her father greets ariel with a good morning. Then they sit down to eat breakfast. After breakfast ariel is loaded into the family van and driven to school.
Ariel arrived at school. She went to a very prestigious school called South Beach Academy. It's a school for the gifted. Ariel is gifted in music. She writes songs. Her father opened the door of the van so that ariel can get out. He helped her out of the car. He kissed her forehead and bid her a farewell.
Across the street Eric a student at South Beach is getting ready to cross the street. Eric was charming and he caught the attention of every girl in the school. Eric was gifted in Art. His drawings were extravagant.
He stood at the crosswalk. The signal changed to walk. Eric stepped into the street and began to cross. A car failed to notice the red light. It continued gaining on eric rapidly. Ariel noticed this car and realized that it is not stopping. Eric is oblivious to the car. "Watch out eric!" ariel screamed at the top of her lungs. Eric dove out of the way. The car missing him by inches. Eric scanned the crowd of students in front of the school. Trying ever so hard to find the girl who saved him, but he could not pinpoint the voice. The school bell rung and it's time to head to class.
Ariel rolled through the large glass door leading into the school. She wheeled down the hall with her empty staff paper. She avoided the eyes of everyone in the hall. Everyone around her continued with their conversations not noticing ariel trying to fight the crowds. She hummed one of the songs she wrote and continued onward. She turned the corner and standing there was Eric. She stared at the ground. Ariel's face was turning a bright red. He still did not know that she saved him. And quite frankly she wanted to keep it that way. She rolled down the hall gaining speed and increasing the volume of her humming. As she drew near unto eric she gets louder and louder and faster and faster.
Ariel's first class was music. She turnee into the hallway that lead to the music room. She turned into the door of the class. The class only had four students. This was not because the class was unpopular, but it's simply for the benefit of the students. With less students there's more time for one on one lessons. Her teacher noticed the blank staff paper. "Where is your work?" she asked. Ariel looked at the ground and mumbled,"It's not ready yet." Her teacher frowned slightly. The project was due next class period and Ariel had only finished half of the song.
The room next door was Art. Eric sat at his desk rapidly drawing his assignment. He couldn't take his mind off of the events that had recently took place. And he could not bear to think of what's to come after school. He finished his sketch then he signed it. He walked up to the teachers desk. "Amazing work Eric!" she commented. Eric knew that it was not his best work. He was too distracted to put forth his best work.
