Chapter 15: Suspicions

The car ride home was quiet. Tonks, Romulus, Amy, Jeremy and Bill all Disapparated home while Barry, Alec, Ginny, Sam and Tim rode in the car with Mr. and Mrs. Walter. Sam and Tim were extremely quiet. Usually they would of tried to make jokes and cheer everyone up but it wasn’t the time for that. They understood how serious the matter was.

The second they reached the inside of the living room Alec, Ginny, Sam and Tim were all asking questions.

“How are they dead?”

“Why are they dead?”

“Who did it?”

Barry just stood and listened to them. He couldn’t look at anyone in the room. Not Tonks, not Romulus, not anyone. He just wanted to to forget everything right now. But he knew he couldn't. He had to conquer this.

“It was Lord Binned, wasn't it?” Barry asked just in general, not an anyone specific.

“Who?” Sam and Tim asked in unison.

Mr. and Mrs. Walter, Tonks, Romulus and Amy all stared at him with confusion.

“Yes we know about him,” Barry said not sounding rude about it at all.

“Your parents wanted to wait for the right moment to tell you,” Mrs. Walter said as she took Barry into a hug.

“I know,” Barry said. “But can you answer my questions, was it him or not?”

“We will answer that after you answer one,” Mr. Walter said. “How did you know about it? We only heard of it just minutes before the train arrived. It seems impossible that you knew before anyone had the chance to tell you.”

“He had a dream about it Dad,” Alex said.

“The dream could of just been a nightmare,” Romulus said.

“I've had it more than once this year,” Barry said. “It's like it was telling me this was going to happen. And now it finally did.”

Everyone just looked at each other in the room. Tonks stood there tears coming out of her eyes. Barry saw how it was harder on her than it was him. She had never gotten to known her parents before they disappeared, but now the only two who she considered her parents were gone, dead.

“Who is Lord Binned?” Sam and Tim asked again.

“We will tell you later,” Mrs. Walter snapped which made them back off.

“So was it him who killed them?” Barry asked again, wiping away a tear that was coming.

“We think it may be,” Jeremy said.

“He's the only one who would of ever dared to do it,” Bill said.

“Our suspicion is very limited,” Amy said.

“What happened to their bodies?” Barry asked abruptly. “In my dreams, they were just gone. A big explosion happened and the bodies were just gone. Everything but their wands.”

“We weren’t able to find any bodies,” Tonks said. “All we found were their wands and Lord Binned fleeing after that saying, 'I have brought the death of Lilly and Jack Johnson, now onto the next person.”

Barry didn't need to ask who the next person was to know who it was, but he did it anyway. “Who does he mean?”

“We are quite sure of our suspicion, but we cannot share that information with anyone,” Mr. Walter said.

“I'm tired so I think I’m just going to go to bed now,” Barry said as he made his way to the spiralling staircase that was in the middle if the house. He heard footsteps behind him, but he ignored them as he made his way all the way up to his and Alec's room. Their room was on the fifth floor of the Labyrinth.

He finally made his way up to the room and left the door open as he walked in and sat on his bed. The room was decorated with posters dealing with all different things with the wizardry world. He looked out the bedroom window to see snow falling. He was just lost in his own thoughts while being on the verge of tears. He jumped when Alec spoke behind him.

“Barry I know this must be bad for you,” he said as he closed the door for some privacy. “But you know you have us and Tonks.” he seemed uncertain on what he should say. “its hard for all of us right now, believe me. Your parents were the best at what they did.”

“I know,” Barry said. “I just thought I’d ever loose them. That they were supposed to be immortal like all wizards. But I guess not.”

“Yea its bloody mad that it happened to them,” Alec said. “But lets got and have a snowball fight outside with everyone, it'll cheer you up.”

“Your probably right,” Barry said as he and Alec hurried out of the room and downstairs to start a snowball fight with everyone else.
