Hi every one! This is my first story, and i wrote it in fifth grade so please don't say anything mean about a fifth grader's words. Other ones soon to be updated will probably be better. Thanks! - archerypro

Once upon a time, there was a princess named Elise. She lived far away in a land called Quoint, with her depressed parents Rufus and Julia. They were so depressed because right after Queen Julia gave birth to identical twins, Elise and Elisha; one of them was stolen by an evil witch called Gargonel. The kingdom searched for the stolen child for eighteen years, but could not find her.

This left poor Elise alone in the castle for most of her days. Exceptions were when her boyfriend, Joshua, an enchanted frog, hopped to her side to talk with her. Anyway, she wondered why Gargonel stole her sister, and not her. No one ever told Elise why her sister was gone, perhaps they just didn’t know. So, she was kept in the castle for protection, and had never set a foot on the ground outside, until the day her father told her one of the most important things of her life.

They sat down in fancy chairs across a large table, and King Rufus started talking. “I am going to tell you something very important right now Elise and I want you to pay close attention. We found Gargonel’s hide out.” Elise lifted her eyebrows in surprise, and jumped to conclusions. “Well where is my sister then? I want to see her!” Rufus shook his head, “We have not gotten that far yet. You see, there are magical forces around that place that we can not get through. There are also rules.” “What kind of rules?” Elise asked excited now, “Can you not break them?” “No, we can not break them, it is impossible, but we have tried as hard as we can.” “What are the rules then?” Her father sighed and said; “That you are the only person in the world who can go in to save your sister and that you only have twenty-four hours.”

The very next day Elise took her first steps out of the castle, and onto the grass. She loved the smell of fresh air and blooming roses. But her enjoyment of the outside was soon tarnished by the idea that she might never see it again, for she was going to save her only sister. Elise got into the carriage with her mom and dad, pulled by four brilliantly white horses taking her to the entrance of Gargonel’s hide out.

When they arrived, Rufus started crying very hard, claiming that his family did not deserve this. He hugged Elise before saying that he loved her very much and was proud of her. Elise, who found this embarrassing, smiled at him before hugging her mom who was also crying. “Well, I have to go now,” she said as she shrugged out of her mom’s hug, and turned toward the huge black dome that was so tall, you could not see where it ended. On the wall of the dome, above the entrance, were the rules and reasons why Elise was there. She took a deep breath and walked straight through the force field. Once she was in though, she turned to see her family, but they were not there – just a wall.

Elise sighed and turned to see a beautiful sword stuck in a large stone in front of her. She walked toward it and tried pull the sword out. It came easily, but before her satisfaction and wonder could come, she felt surprise. There in front of her stood one enormous dragon. How it got there she did not understand, but what she could, was that she had to slay it. Elise lifted the sword high, and screamed.

Immediately, the dragon closed its eyes and put his giant claws on his ears. Elise knew that dragons had sensitive ears from her lessons, but not this sensitive. She started running and slashing at any part of dragon that got in her way to the door. Since it was a large room, by the time she got within twelve yards of the door, she had no breath left, and stopped screaming.
