PROLOGUE

She hated it. She hated how everyone cheered and yelled in happiness for the Royal family, Yet Princess Ardelle kept her face emotionless throughout the whole Night ceremony - it had just begun and she already wanted to kill herself.

She watched as her brother, Prince Leopard stood and waved, his body stiff and face stoic. And then Princess Eloise followed shortly after, her smile so bright it hurt Ardelle's eyes. The crowd cheered when the seducing mistress stood, gracing them with her ever so perfect self.

Ardelle rolled her eyes at her fake sister, though showed no more irritation. Soon after it was time for Princess Ardelle to rise and she did, her dark blood like hair tied up tightly into a sleek bun, her sharp angelic like features which juxtaposed her dark gray alluring eyes. The most feared intimidating woman was a show to take in and no one wasted time into sucking in her appearance.

It was rare when she left the house, which is why everyone always went wild when she gifted them with her appearance.

This time there was no exception. The people of Vaurelia were not happy; there were more poor than rich, more criminals than those who did good - yet, the country still loved their King and Queen.

It was disgusting.

King Leon IIV was based on the other cart decorated and fitted for perfection, seated with his wife Queen Entoire, they both sat high, radiating power. Their hawk-like eyes capturing anyone who would dare stare into their bottomless eyes. And anyone who got stuck into their alluring eyes, the guards killed the person on sight. The King and Queen were that fatal.

The countries best band played the anthem just as the carts came to a halt, everyone immediately began singing their hands fastened together as their voices harmonized with each other. The Royal family stride up the stairs together. And stood in a line facing the crowd their hands joint to signify their bonds. And then they began to sing, manipulating the minds of their people once again.

"We will love, We will rise, We shall be invincible" They lingered on the last note leaving a terrible silence to fill the air as they begun to sing the next verse.

"This country is ours to share, these people are ours to share" The people, however, did not know the meaning to the song.

The meaning of the song was destruction and imprisonment. This song was about belonging - but not belonging in the hearts of their loved ones. Belonging in the hearts of the demon, in the hearts of slavery and greed.

"Then we shall be invincible, invincible in our powers. And then we will be bulletproof, bulletproof. And then rise together in harmony"

And then once they grasp onto the unruly, it is too late. They are already captured and then controlled by the people they used to look up to. They are controlled by them.

The Royals.
