Chapter 2 - Rebekah

Elena's P.O.V

I was so ecstatic when Bonnie said she would come with me. Bonnie and I left the house and wandered around the village a little bit. We were on our way home when we heard a soft crying noise coming from just inside the trees of the forest. We walked over to find none other than Rebekah Mikaelson sitting on a pail (ad they call it here) crying her eyes out.
"Excuse me. Are you okay?" I ask tentatively. She is obviously upset I didn't want to startle her.
"Oh urmm. Yes sorry I don't believe we've met before. I'm Rebekah Mikaelson." She said holding out her hand. I shook it.
"I'm Elena Gilbert and this is Bonnie Bennet." I said gesturing towards Bonnie next to me who had also shaken Rebekah's hand.
"Well it's nice to meet you. What brings you to our quaint little village in the middle of nowhere?" She asks giving a slight laugh.
"Our parents died so we are currently staying with Ayanna as she was a close friend to both of our mothers." I said pretending that it was true and it wasn't actually hard considering both our parents are technically dead.
"My condolences. But you will love living with Ayanna she can be quite the lovable person." She said smiling softly at us. I smiled back.
"So Rebekah. Do you have any siblings. I have a brother but he decided to go live with one of our father's friends."
"Hmmm oh yes. I have 5 brothers.
Elijah, Niklaus, Finn, Kol and Henrik. Irritating the lot of them but I still love them." She says deep in thought.
"Oh my look at the time we better be getting back Ayanna was expecting us back a while ago Elena." Bonnie says suddenly and I realise that she's right the sun had now set and Ayanna had asked for us to return before sundown.
"Oh I apologise for keeping you so long. I really should be getting back too. It was nice to meet you though. I believe we will become the best of friends." Reabekah says before quickly rushing home with a quick wave. We waved back and rushed home ourselves.
"Where have you girls been?!" Ayanna asked almost shouting. We couldn't help but wince.
"Sorry Ayanna but we got caught up talking to Rebekah Mikaelson. We truly are sorry Ayanna." Bonnie said.
"Oh it's alright as long as you're making friends. Now to bed both of you it will be a long day tomorrow we have many chores to complete." Bonnie and I groaned at the word chores. Then we quickly rushed off to bed.

Present Day

"Bonnie. Elena." Caroline said walking into the Salvatore Boarding Home. She knew they had come here to try a spell that needed dopplegänger blood but they should have been done hours ago. They were supposed to have met her at the grill ages ago.
"Caroline what are you doing here?" Stefan said from behing her.
"Looking for Bon and Elena." Caroline replied simply.
"They haven't been here for hours." Werid. That's when she saw Bonnie's grimore lying on the floor at a time travel page. Crap. Her best friends were in the past. Then she picked up the spell book and looked at it closely. Then she gasped.
"What is it Care?" Stefan asked.
"The girls are 1000 years in the past. When The Originals were human." She said and Stefan grimaced and Caroline just stood there frozen to the spot.
Her two best friends were 1000 years in the past and they had no witch to get them back. Double Crap!
