Chris' POV

I left the hospital not to long ago, I'm on my way home and I just kept thinking 'I could have lost Karlie tonight, I could have lost my bestfriend, my baby girl'. I got home grabbed my things and headed inside, sitting my stuff down by the door I hear "Chris is that you" my mom says from the kitchen.

"yea mom" I say walking in the kitchen

Walking in the kitchen my mom comes over and hugs me tight "how's my Karlie what happened to her?"

"Um she was sick this past Tuesday and her doctor said her body was still recovering and that her going back to school and practice was to much on her body so she put her on bed rest for the rest of the weekend" I say grabbing a bottle of water.

"Awe son I'm sorry I know how scared you were." My mom says siting on a island stool.

"Mom scared is a understatement when Ari said she fainted I felt my heart drop, mom I felt like I was losing half of my heart." I say laying my head on the island counter.

My mom gives me a apologetic smile "I know you really love her, but you need to get some sleep, it's late." She says kissing my cheek and leaving the kitchen.

I went to my room hopped in the shower, while in the shower letting the hot water run down my body as I sit there thinking about my baby girl. I got out the shower and laid down and let sleep take over.

The Next Day........

"Chris!!" I hear my mom screaming my name from downstairs, "yeah" I say sitting up rubbing my eyes.

"Come here" She yells back at me.

I get out of bed and make my way downstairs to see what my mom wanted, walking in the kitchen I see her looking through mail and drinking coffee.

"Mom ?" I say leaning on the door frame.

She looks up and gives me an apologetic smile and holding up a white envelope "you got a letter from your dad." She says handing it to me.

I sat it down on the counter and made my way towards the refrigerator and grabbing a bottle of water "are you going to open it and see what it says?" My mom asked grabbing papers and putting it in her brief case

"I'll open it later, but where are you going I thought you didn't work on weekends?" I say drinking some water.

"I don't but something went wrong with the Stone case so I gotta check it out, but I gotta go tell me what the letter says love you baby boy." she says kissing me on the cheek and walking out.

Karlie's POV

Waking up this morning I feel good Chris and Ari are coming over and I can't wait. "Karlie breakfast is ready." I hear my mom yell

"Okay" I say getting out of bed and putting my hair in a messy bun.

I was able to leave the hospital at 3 in the morning after all my test were done.

I hopped in the shower, once I got out of the shower I put on pink lace bra and panties and my pink and red hoodie and black yoga pants from PINK.

After I was dressed I made my way downstairs and went to eat breakfast "how are feeling baby girl?" My dad asked.

"I feel good Chris and Ari are coming over to keep me company" I say eating some fruit.

"No I can keep you company if you don't want to be here by yourself that boy doesn't have to come." My dad says with a frown on his face.
