The Winter Gems

Chapter 1: A simple morning

Steven woke up gasping for air and he said "It is all a dream." Steven stood up and still wondering about what yellow diamond said. He went down from his room, then his tummy rumbled very hard and Steven said holding his belly "yah, yah just wait a bit." He walk to the refrigerator grabbing a bag of blueberry waffles and he put the bag on the counter, he took a stool and placed in front of the microwave. He putted it inside the microwave then pressed some button while his belly rumbling. He said holding his belly tightly "Just wait." Then he recalled what yellow diamond said, he was paralyzed for thinking very hard. The microwave beeped and Steven fell from the stool and hit his head on the table. He said while holding his head "Aw that hurts." He stood up and his belly rumbled even harder while holding his head. He opened the fridge and take an ice pack, he also took the mittens hanging from the fridge handle. He went up the stool while wearing his mittens, he opened the microwave door and pulled out the the bag of waffled and placed it on the counter. He removed his mittens and took a fork from a drawer, he also took the ice pack and held it over his head. He went to the couch and rest the waffles on the table. He removed the ice bag from his head and he used the fork to cut a piece of the blueberry waffles then he saw the warp pad activating. He suddenly dropped his breakfast on the floor while standing up. The warp pad shone a bright light and the light dimmed then amethyst went out from the warp pad. Steven said in disappointed "Oh! It's just you amethyst." Amethyst said feeling concerned but not slowing that she is concerned "Yo Steven why are you so bummed out? Did pearl tell another joke." Steven sat down ad saw his his breakfast on the floor then suddenly his belly rumbled, he looked at the ceiling and sighed. Amethyst suddenly said "You hungry?" Steven said looking at his belly "Maybe be a little." Amethyst jumped and sat on the couch. Steven slouched, he played with his hair and said "Hey amethyst I gonna tell you something." Amethyst said "What is it?", she stood up and walked to the counter. Steven said looking at the table " Last night I had a dream about humans being stolen by four gigantic arms, I saw my mom fighting against it..." He paused and looked at amethyst and saw amethyst searching inside the fridge. Steven said in a pit of rage "Amethyst are you listening?" Amethyst said not caring "Yah, yah four arms, your mom and some other junk." Steven slouched and crossed his arms then his belly rumbled and said in anger "I'm going to the Big Donut." Amethyst said pulling a bag of chips and a can of soda "K, see ya later."

Steven mumbles about what happened early while walking. He arrived at the Big Donut still mumbling, he got to the counter and Sadie asked Steven "What can I get you Steven?" Steven said "Give me three donuts." Sadie said "Alright Steven." Sadie gets the three donuts and reached it to Steven. Then Steven received his donuts and turned around and started to mumbles again. Sadie heard Steven's small voice in anger and she asked "Are you alright Steven?" Steven turned around and said "Huh?" Sadie asked Steven with concern "You're acting little mad today, is something bothering you?" Steven sighed and said "I had a dream early and when I told to Amethyst she didn't listen." Sadie said "A dream? Can you tell me about it?" Steven said "My dream is about..." Then Lars went out the break room and slammed to door opened. Lars yelled "Sadie the donut machine is on fire!" Sadie said "Again." She looked at Steven and said "Hold that thought Steven." Then she placed her attention to Lars with a red glow and black smoke rushed out at Lars' back and she said while grabbing the fire extinguisher "Move Lars." The both went inside the break room and Steven was left alone. Steven made an angry expression on his face and walked away.

Steven arrived at the beach, sat down and started to eat the donuts. Steven asked himself " Why doesn't anybody want to listen to my dream?" He stood up and went to the water while eating his second donut. When he got to the water in the shore he grabbed his last donut and held it between his face and the water. He saw a small part of the water inside the whole of the donut. He closed his eyes then sighed, when he opened his eyes again he saw a reflect rising from the water and he turned around and said in excitement and joy "Garnet! How did you know that I'm here?" Garnet said "My future vision told me..." Steven's eyes turned into stars and asked in amusement "Really?" Garnet continued "and I can see you from the house." While pointing at their house, Steven frowned. Steven turned around pretending to be mad and Garnet asked "Are you alright Steven?" Steven sighed and said "All the person that I want to talked too doesn't listen by don't caring or leaving me." Garnet held Steven's shoulder and turned him around and said while removing her visor "I'm here." Steven's eyes shed a tear and Garnet wiped the tear and said "Tell me about it Steven the dreamer." Steven chuckled a little bit and started to talk about his dream. He said "Last night, I dreamt about me in an endless pink field when I got the middle of it I saw my mom holding a sword I tried to talk to her but a lot of weird things happened, the pink field turned gray, a great darkness was formed in front of my mom, and humans ran out of it and four gigantic arms popped out of the darkness and started to grabbed the humans, and I was captured after seeing my dad being taken away by one of the arms. Then I woke up in a dark place and the ground started to shake and I saw Yellow Diamond walked towards grieving Blue Diamond and Yellow Diamond said " There's still time." Garnet said with a shocked expression "What does it mean?" Steven said "I don't know but Yellow diamond is in my dream, why did she kept saying there's still time, why did four arms popped out in the darkness and started to take humans even my dad?" Steven started to hyperventilate and Garnet said "Steven calm down." Then pearl went out from the house and shouted to them "Garnet we need you!" Garnet and Steven looked at Pearl shouting, then Garnet looked at Steven and said "Let's talk about it later." Steven nodded his head and Garnet jumped off the beach and landed on the porch then Steven tried to jump into the porch but he fell down and Pearl shouted "We'll wait for you here Steven." Steven started to walk and mumble "Stupid powers, doesn't know when to go away."
