The brain is a fascinating thing. It can allow you to see and hear things physically and emotionally. It can place thoughts and feelings into your conscience to make you feel a particular way, it plays with you, Unfun games that tear you apart day by day forcing you to hate yourself. Not everyone is unlucky enough to have this happen to them, not everyone feels dead inside.
When you feel like this each day is more painful than the last. You get up in the morning and stare at the ceiling searching for a reason to get up, you lift your upper body and continue staring. The Lights shine too brightly and make you feel uncomfortable and the silence of everything singles you out leaving nothing but your thoughts to bounce from wall to wall. The reflection you sigh apon glares back at you; mocking your very appearance with its eyes. You hate your reflection but you're so paranoid about what you may look like to others that you find yourself drawn to it, causing them to call you 'vain' and 'shallow'. These words hurt. No one sees that the smallest things can damage someone, and the damage is what the brain makes you do, hurting yourself emotionally and physically.
