Hours passed, and more hours....

People started to leave...

I was starting to lose hope of ever selling my book...

2 to 4 sales aren't enough...  Could this be Marie Antoinette's end??

*sigh* ... I held my books and closed the sale. I couldn't bare looking at myself anymore...  My books, my dream, my writings and stories... Could it all go away with an act of selfishness by my old company?

                          ...

It was already 6:25pm...  I lost hope already...  And I had to deal with it...  Im done. There I was...  Holding my books and going back to my hotel room....

                           ...

                     *BANG*

What in the world?! I banged to a stranger that was crossing by. All my books had fallen to the ground. I grumbled and sighed.

"Watch your step" the man said.

"Oh I'm sorry! Never saw you crossing by!"

"Heheh... You're funny"

"Excuse me?"

"Don't worry I'll help you pick them up *wink*"

"For real? I don't need help from an English stranger." I grumbled.

He picked up a book.

"Dreams huh? Sounds interesting... Mind if I take a copy?"

"Help yourself out. I don't need them anyway... "

"Why so upset?"

"I can't sell any book and you're asking me why I'm upset?"

"Hehe... Well maybe we can discuss it during dinner?"

"Are you asking me on a date?
  -_- you're a total stranger!"

"Tonight,  9:00pm at Mark's Diner"

And then he left. He's so unbelievable! And I didn't even know his name!

                 At 9:00pm...

I arrived at the diner to see that that man was sitting down in the the corner. as soon as he saw me, he called me over.

"I thought you'd never come! "

"I arrived just on time! Im punctuated."

"Ok. Ok. Dont start crying now. "

"Excuse me? I'm not crying! And I'm sorry to say that I don't even know your name!"

"Oh I'm sorry 'Marie' , name's James, James Carter. I'm a...  You better know later. "

"LATER? Are you a theif? An outlaw? A racist? Besides, there's no LATER for us. "

"Why so mad all the time? Chin up! I already ordered food....  Aha! Here it is! "

The waiter laid down 2 dishes of fancy T-bone steak with a special sauce and some french fries. Mmmm!

"How? How did you know my favorite meal? "

"I've got magic!  *wink*"

"Oh please, it's sure a coincidence!"

"You bet! By the way I liked your book! It starts out well."

"Ofcourse it does. All my books do."

"ALL your books? You have more than one? Sweet!"

"Yes, but why?"

"Nothing. *smirk* "

"Are you teasing me? Please don't. In not that kind of woman. And besides, I just got broke down so nothing rn can cheer me up"

"Broke down? What happened? Oh, did you break up with your man?"

"What? No im single. It's just that my company fired me! *angrily* "

"FIRED YOU? how could they? Your books are awesome!"

I was starting to get suspicious about this guy even more. But he has a good heart.

"Not for them. French people can sometimes be *****"

" *chuckle* yes they could, but not all of them"

" *tiny laugh* yeah... well I have to go. Thanks for the food, James. I really appreciate it."

"Wait! Take this, call me if you need any help around. Its Britain! Everyone gets lost here!"

" *giggle* yeah... I'll do. Thanks. Farewell!"

"adieu, Marie!" ( adieu means farewell )

And I left. He's a nice guy. A tall man, light brown hair. Blue eyes and fit body. I think we're going to turn out as good friends.

I went back to my room and laid down on my bed. I was exhausted! What a day! Sheesh!

Looking to my right, I saw my books piled up. I decided. I'm working hard. Im not giving up. Because,

I was NOT a failure.
