I needed to get away from this HUGE grey wolf. If the pack he was in was notified that I left my dad's pack out of the blue, they would send me back or use me for a stupid trade and get my dad to do something for them. Or worse, I get stuck here because they don't know who I am.
I crouch down as a sign that I will give in, which caused him to relax a little bit more.
As he took one step towards me I bolted right past him and deeper into the pack land. It was to either get caught or try to get away and get out of there.
I chose the wrong one.
In an instant, it seemed that I had a Beta, a fighting trainer, some warriors and a really fast female chasing me through their territory.
I looked back for a second and when I turned around there was the most gigantic wolf barreling towards me. I didn't even get to move out of the way as it hit me with so much force that the tree that I hit with my body almost fell over from the impact.
My body slid down the tree causing the bark to pierce my skin. Once again, my body slammed against the ground knocking whatever air was left in my lungs out.
It felt as if my ribcage collapsed onto my lungs. As if someone was choking me. I started gasping for air.
All of the wolves were standing around the tree as if I was to run again. I don't think I can even stand up at the moment, but I don't think they know that.
The black wolf that seemed to cause me a whole lot of pain stepped forward after he shifted out his wolf from behind a tree. He came out with some basketball shorts on.
This man was at least 6'3 - 6'4 tall, he had black hair and green eyes. He seemed to be in his late 40's.
"You need to shift." His voice was full of authority. He threw a really big shirt and told me to go behind the tree and change.
I am almost positive that I won't be able to run away, even if I try. My back is bleeding, I think a rib is broken, and maybe a fractured hand.
I went behind the tree and had a nice, painful shift. I put the shirt on and it went down past my knee caps. See I'm 5'1 and wearing a 6'4 shirt, not a good match.
I limp out from behind the tree, still having trouble breathing. Matter of fact, shifting caused a lot of extra pain.
When I looked around I noticed that everyone has shifted back and is staring at me. Well except for the beta, he is glaring at me. Probably because I tricked him.
"My son, the alpha will be here soon." Mr. Tree man said.
It seems as if they are all very angry with me. You could feel the tension in the air as we all sit there. If you walked in you could literally cut it with a knife. Only because everyone would probably start laughing because you actually tried to cut the air in half.
You could feel the ground shaking, as what I would guess to be Alpha Alec coming this way.
As the ground shook more and more I picked up on a sent. The scent smelled like sweet pine and fresh-cut wood.
When Alpha Alec got there the sent was caressing my nostrils. He shifted right there and then looked around for something.
My wolf was purring and totally freaking out.
Then it hit me when we made eye contact. Alpha Alec was my mate.
"Mine" Was all he said. The first step he took towards me the most embarrassing that could happen happened...
Everything went black.
