Jessica Jones, known around school as the perfect girl. Jessica is who everyone wants to be or be with. She is known for her perfect attendance and outstanding grades. Every teacher loves her and she doesn't even have to try. Guys love her because of her body, she's basically a Victoria's Secret Angel. Many people believe she is the hottest girl in the school. Every guy wants to be with her. Girls love her because she is the perfect image. They want her perfect body, perfect hair and perfect life. Every girl wants to be her. Jessica is admired because she keeps to herself, she doesn't try to receive attention or create drama. She's always polite and willing to help out. More perfection.
The only thing people don't like about Jessica is, she thinks she is too good for anyone at her school. At least that's what everyone says. No one would believe that she doesn't want a lot of friends because that would equal more drama. No one would believe that she's waiting for the guy that truly loves her for her, not for her body or her money.
Jessica doesn't believe she's too good for anyone at her school, she doesn't think that highly of herself. She knows what people say about her and what they believe but Jessica never has the energy to correct them, she just carries on with her days and minds her own business. She doesn't try to correct the people that surround her because she knows that no matter what, they will always find something to say about her that isn't true or that is just a small part of the story that is Jessica Jones. She knows that they all judge books by their covers and she's just another novel in the vast library that is this world.
...
At lunch on Thursday, Jessica takes her car and herself to her usual lunch spot. No one in her school goes to the little family-owned diner she goes to. She thinks it is the cutest, most peaceful thing in this entire world.
Jessica is a vegetarian. She has not had a piece of meat in four years, not since her mom had left. After her mother had to leave, Jessica decided to change herself for the better. Considering how her mom was like and what she brought into Jessica's world, she deserved a change.
Jessica has been going to this diner for two years. She goes every weekday at lunch time. She knows every waitress, waiter, bus boy, cashier and cook. She's talked to every employee. She knows this diner like the palm of her hand. For once, Jessica doesn't know her waiter, he does not have a name tag on either. They all have name tags on except him, maybe they didn't make it for him yet. When he took Jessica's order, he didn't say his name. He doesn't have to say his name when he asks people what they want to order but everyone at the diner always does. This waiter is quieter than the rest too. She knows that at this diner, you have to work up to being a waiter. First, you are a bus boy. Second, you work the cash register. Third, you are a waiter or waitress. Jessica knows that this waiter has been working here for a while because it takes at least three weeks for each position before you can promote. Either he has been working at this diner for a long time and she did not notice him or he has experience and just transferred over, but that can not be. Jessica knows the owner and he always starts new people on Mondays, so that means he has been here a while. She is determined to find out his name. Jessica doesn't stop until she finds out what she wants to know when she gets interested in something.
"Here's your food. Enjoy."
"Thank you." Jessica says to the waiter.
As Jessica eats her amazing food, she wonders what his name could be. He kind of looks like a Will, or a John, maybe even a Liam.
When he comes back to give Jessica the check, Jessica asks, "What's your name?"
"Who wants to know?" Says the waiter with a smirk.
"Well I do, obviously, since I just asked. You don't have a name tag on and I know every employee here except you. So what's your name?" She asks kindly, giving a smile, hoping for an answer.
