Chapter 11 . part 1

“Two more seconds. Come on Lisa you can make it.” April said hopefully, taping her hands on the treadmill as if to encourage me. I could feel myself sweating so hard for a second it felt that I just came out of the shower. I wanted this so bad, I want to win the challenge.

So here I am running on the treadmill with my heart beating 2 times faster.

And suddenly everything came to a stop. That meant that I ticket my target for today, how good it feels to achieve something even if it’s so small. These are just small steps out of a big one and I know I can do whatever my mind sets me to.

 April my trainer jumped with joy. “You did it Lisa I am so proud of you.” I was trying to breath normally to reply to her but it seemed that I was full of ecstasy and sweat that I just nodded my head at her, she said that she would leave me as she has to go train someone else for my time was over. I walked to the changing room to go grap clean cloths and I just ran to the shower, it felt so good to take out all the heat off my body. It feels so good that I pushed my body to limits I never knew it even existed I really love that numbness of the body when you’re done with a cardio or a workout.

I have been doing this for weeks now. Getting up, facing school then exercise till my heart aches me to stop, literally aches me to stop.

Why?

 Because I have a goal. That is…

 Revenge.

For my goal to get fulfilled successfully, being in shape is necessary.  

What kind of revenge you may be wondering. Well everybody is going to find out soon.

1 month ago.

Ring ring.

My eyes flushed open. With a glance at my clock it was 4:00 am. “4 in the morning. Seriously?” I said cursing under my breath. Who the hell was calling me at a time like this is going to get a piece of me. Everyone knows how sleep is very precious to me.

Without looking at the caller ID I picked up the phone and started shouting to whoever this person was. Now I know that it will be hard for me to go back to sleep, why it had to be tonight, damn, I have a lot of things to do tomorrow and am not going to get my sleep right

“Whoever you are! Do you even know what time it is?” I said in my angriest tone. With my eyes still closed.

“Lisa...” the voice sounded familiar but as the person was crying it was hard to guess plus it was 4a.m how am I suppose to recognize the caller

“Who is this?” I said, feeling bad for shouting at that person some seconds earlier and opening my eyes wide to try and understand what is happening.

“Lisa  ... it’s me Sofia.” She said now trying to hold back her tears. Why was she crying Sofia isn’t the kind of girl who drops a tear easily, something was seriously wrong!

After what felt like ages of trying to make her stop crying she was finally ready to tell what’s wrong. I could tell she was trying not to tell me but in the end she did, isn’t that obvious am her best friend and that’s what I am there for.

She was crying because of Evan. She started from the beginning of how they became together, she told how she felt that he was the one and in the end he was having a make out with another women in Sofia’s bedroom. I mean seriously in her bedroom that guy has some serious issues.

I listened to everything she said without saying a word. My player, my best friend, never gives a shit for any guy but I guess Evan meant a lot. I had little feelings left for Evan but after hearing Sofia cry even those little feelings have completely vanished. Nobody hurts Sofia unless they go through me but since I wasn’t there to protect her I guess she ate it.

Wait for it Evan, am going to make you pay for every tear that u made Sofia drop. How could he do something like this for a girl that deeply loved him and respected him even though he didn’t deserve any of it.

 Back to the present:

As my training was done, I headed home to face my cozy bed with a proud smile of another successful day of training.

I just opened my bedroom door widely and switched on my favorite radio channel and just dropped myself on the bed without even caring to change my clothes or take off my shoes, after some seconds everything just blackened out and there I was in my only peaceful dreamland.
