Chapter 1: Home Sweet Home.
"That all?" Catherine asked me coming and sitting on the edge of my bed which was piled high with suitcases.
"Yep, I'm all packed" I explained. Catherine gave me a small smile and hugged me.
"I'm going to miss you hun" she explained. I sighed and nodded my head in agreement.
"I'm going to miss you as well, but it's time to go home" I explained, a light tear resting in my eye. Catherine pulled me into a hug and I rested my head on her shoulder,
"You sure your ready to face everyone?" she asked gently. I nodded my head, not being able to form words. The truth was I was terrified about the idea of facing everyone who made my past a living hell, although I was determined, I was going to show them all. "Go to bed sweetie. It's going to be a long flight" Catherine explained, gently kissing my temple.
"Thank You for everything Catherine. I really appreciate it" I told her pulling away from our hug.
"I know you do. Your welcome back anytime" she told me before standing and walking out of the room and leaving me to a sleepless night.I groaned when I heard the alarm clock going off, meaning it was time to get up. I raised slowly out of bed and walked towards the bathroom. I refreshed myself by taking an extra long shower, I then stepped out and applied a light layer of makeup and did my hair before before dressing into the outfit I choose the night before. I nodded my head in approval when I was fully dressed and stepped into the room which was now luggage free. I slowly ate my breakfast apple while Catherine sat opposite me eating her toast. We chatted casually, avoiding the topic of me leaving, which would become a reality in a couple of hours when I was sitting on the plane and flying back to Colorado. I finished my apple and pulled Catherine towards the car, not wanting to be late for the flight.
I watched as the buildings rolled by and I knew I was going to miss this place, although I couldn't wait to come home and see my mummy and daddy again. I smiled at the thought of my parents, although my smile faulted slightly when I realised I would be going home to everyone who though I was still the quiet innocent girl who was to scared to stand up for herself. I brushed the though to the side and focused on the drive ahead.
We arrived at the airport and we shuffled out of the car. I glanced at Catherine although she refused to make eye contact. I collected my bags and walked into the airport with Catherine by my side, no words being exchanged. I swallowed the lump in my throat as I realised I would be flying back to the place where everyone hated me. Where I was consistently picked on and where I had my heard broken numerous times. I pushed the thought away when I started feeling light head and continued walking into the airport.
Catherine and I passed through all the airport obstacles and were sitting in the cafe sipping out coffee's. I laughed when Catherine cracked a joke and we continued chatting in a casual manner until I heard the robotic voice announce
"Flight leaving from California to Colorado departing now". I glanced at Catherine and flung my arms around her shoulder, I hugged her tightly and rested my head on her shoulder
"Hun. I'm going to miss you" Catherine's voice sounded.
"I'm going to miss you as well" I cried, allowing the light tears to fall from my eyes. She pulled away and gave me a sweet smile and said
"You have changed so much. Your beautiful Ella. Show Them." I couldn't help but smile at her comment. "If anything every happens, your always welcome back" she promises holding me close.
"Thank You" I stated before hugging her once more and pulling away and grabbing my hand luggage.
"Tell your mum and dad I say hi" Catherine explained tapping my nose. I scrunched it up before laughing and saying
"Promise. Bye Catherine" I smiled to her before making my way over to the line of people waiting to get onto the plane.I handed the lady my ticket and she allowed my access to the plane. I made my way carefully onto the jet and took a seat, my mind drifting towards Catherine. Catherine is my GodMother who I have been living with for the past 2 years. I was born in Colorado and I absolutely love the place, although I had a really hard time fitting in there as I wasn't your typical teenager. I would never dress up and I didn't care what people thought of me, causing the girls to hate me. I got along alright with the boys for a while, until they started dating and basically left sports for girls. I was alone, I was the girl people would pass in the hall way and laughter at because I was an outcast. After sometime I got sick of being the loner. After a lot of convincing, my parents sent me to California to live with Catherine and have a new start. While I was in California puberty was extremely kind and left me with mind blowing curves and a tiny waist, perfect blonde hair while fell to mid back and Catherine taught me all about fashion. I spent my last year there as the Queen Bee which every guy wanted to get with, and for once I wasn't a loner. After a phone call with my parents I realised how much I missed them, so I decided to come home. I felt the plane start moving, bringing my thoughts to a stop. I watched the window as California became smaller and smaller until eventually it disappeared.
