She hurt herself today,
Just to see if she could feel,
If she still had any emotions left,
For her broken heart had been frozen,
And she had ran out of tears,
For her life's in despair.
She hurt herself today,
She just felt so alone,
Abandoned to drown in her own blood.

And then learnt that no one cared,
No one even looked twice at her wounds.

She did it in the bathroom with a razor,
Running a bath as she slashed her pale white wrists,
And watched the lukewarm water turn red,
Wincing slightly as her swollen wrists burned,
And dropped the razor onto the floor.
She hurt herself today,
Her salty tears mixed with her thick blood,
But she just smiled, closed her eyes and inhaled deeply,
For she had enough and she wanted everything to end,
She was tired smiling through the pain,
She was fed up faking that everything was ok.
She hurt herself today,
And realised no one cared,
She had no purpose,
She was a waste of space.
She hurt herself today,
And then knew, that it wasn't enough.
She killed herself today.
And then finally, everything was ok.
