Chapter 5: Audition

* N E X T    D A Y *

* Dylan's POV *

Me: How about Counting Stars? I mean, we already know it.

Mayson frowned and shook his head.

Mayson: We've already played it quite a few times. It needs to be an unknown song from us.

We looked down and kept thinking.

We already told Mayson about the competition and he agreed to it. Messenger of the New Sound also are doing it since they convinced Mackenzie, somehow.

Kendall: Well, that could be our little homework. Trying to find out a song for the band to play. In the next meeting, we could all share our songs and the one that has more votes on it is the song that we'll play.

Everyone nodded at Kendall's statement.

Mayson: Alright, let's do that.

We all stood up and started packing our instruments. Jada walked up to me.

Jada: So when are you going to tell Isabelle?

Me: About what?

Jada: You know exactly what I am talking about.

I looked at her confusedly for a while until it came into my mind.

Me: Oh . . OH! Well, I don't really know. I mean, I think that she is into someone else.

Jada: Even if she is into someone else, you should tell her. She will think about it.

I shook my head.

Me: She is not going to give up on him.

Jada: Just like you are not going to give up on her. Come on Dylan. You liked her since you were a Senior in that high school. That was, what? Two years ago? Man up and go up to her.

I sighed and looked down.

Me: I'll . . . I'll think about it.

Jada: You sure will.

We walked outside Mayson's house.

Me: So do you know when is the audition for the other band?

Jada: It's tomorrow. I will be there.

Me: Even if you have plans?

Jada nodded.

Jada: Yeah, she seems like a very nice girl. The only thing I can think of a way to thank her for being so kind to us and not judge us is to support her.

Me: Judge?

Jada shrugged.

Jada: I've met those type of people and I am glad she isn't one of them.

I nodded and walked to my bicycle.

Me: Well, bye Jada. Greet Dan and Phil for me, will you? Since you guys are usually together.

I quickly left before I could hear Jada scream at me.

. . . Is it weird that I ship her with one of them?
