I Am Other

New Beginnings

Other walked into school, scared and worried as usual.

"Bye Sweetie!" His mom yelled from the car.

"Bye Mom" Oliver and Ty both yelled back.

"Don't embarrass me, twerp. I got a reputation to uphold." said Ty.

"I know, you tell me that everyday." Other said.

"I'm just making sure you know that dumbass. Because if you don't I will use your glasses and stab you with them, and tell mom and dad that it was an accident because I'm still working on my powers." Ty said.

"I know, just shut up I have to go to class." Other said to Ty. Oliver and Ty walked their separate ways to go see their friends. Ty's friend group was Other's bullies. There was Daniel Chris, he was a tall strong ripped boy who played on the football team, most girls wanted to be with him, and most boys wanted to be him. Than their was Chrissy Long. She was the leader of the cheer squad, Daniel's ex girlfriend, who was kind of crushing on Ty and vice versa. Then there was Josh, he was more of like an accomplice to Daniel, he was more a retarded back up more than a bully. So Other wasn't really threatened by him, Than of course there was Ty, Others 2 minute old brother, Ty wasn't really a bully but he never stood up for Other, he would always encourage the others to pick at him. But anyways Others one and only friend his age was his best friend Justine, who was oddly Ty's ex girlfriend. Justine had these powers where she could control things with her mind and could make portals and teleport people and herself. She had a healing factor which in a way went along well with her depression, when she would cut or hurt herself she could never feel it. Sometimes she would become very unstable and her powers would take over and she would go on like a rampage and never remember what she did. Other and Justine were the best of friends. Justine helped Other work on his powers and Other helped Justine with her powers. Their science teacher and mentor, Steve Rox, (Rox) was a previous scientist but later quit science after the death of his wife. So now he devoted his life to teaching and helping young supers to work on their powers and control them more.

"Hey Other" Justine said.

"Sup, Justine" Other said.

"You know sometimes I just want to throw Ty and Daniel, along with there little posey into some barbed-wire." Other said.

"Well you can, but you would've outed yourself and you would go to jail for murder and assault." Justine said.

"Well they should go to jail for bullying!" Other said starting to get heated.

Justine and Other packed their stuff up and walked to Rox's Lab, in the mornings & afternoon they had power training, Justine's power training was easier than Others. Her and Rox had figured out and clearly established her powers, of what she can and cannot do, however in Others case it was more complicated because they each had no idea how he got his powers, what he could do with them, and the extent of them. Nole Valley was a more accepting place of supers, most of the world was, however there were still a few places that weren't very supportive of the supers. These people were mainly the ones who were born different and didn't have powers.

"Well you're here quickly" Rox said.

"Yeah we know. Justine teleported us over here, it's quicker" Other said.

"It helps me warm up before practice" Justine added.

"Well that's smart" Rox said.

The course of their practice was mainly appealed to each others strengths, sometimes they did combat, and sometimes they tested each other on combat skills. However today they heard that they were going to have a new student. The two looked to the door in a sense of surprise and excitement, only to see the new student was none other than Ty. Other and Justines faces went from a smile to a new student, to actually fearing for their safety.

"What are you doing here?" The two asked.

"Mom and dad signed me up for power training, now what the fuck are you doing here, Other?" Ty said approaching the two.

"He's here to support..." Justine said before Other cut her off.

"Because I have powers too." Other said kid of getting defensive.

"Oh I can't wait until mom and dad find out about this" Ty said turning around to go walk out of the door. Just as other zaps in from of the door preventing him from leaving. Justine and Rox look at each other and whisper,"I didn't know he could do that" just as Rox writes it down on a separate piece of paper.

"I could kill you very easily you know that right? So if I were you I would move." Ty said.

"I dare you to try." Other responded.

"Justine, back up and make a force field around us, I wanna see where this goes." Rox said.

"YOU'RE NOT GONNA STOP THIS?" Justine said.

The room around them started shaking, Ty's streak of hair started to grow silver as Other taunted him to come at him. Vials of liquid fell of shelves and shattered on the ground. Justine and Rox covered and protected by the reddish purple force field surrounding them, scared an unknowing what was happening they watched as the brothers duked it out as supers for the first time.

Ty made the first move, snatching the light of the ceiling and turning it into a long metal spear piercing through Others arm. Ty using the Iron in his brother's blood ripped, Other into pieces, slowly with green chunks of human on the ground, they morphed back together to make Other.

"Astonishing" Rox said as Other grabbed Ty's arm throwing him into the wall, than growing to reach the ceiling, than pouncing on his brother as a large green glob. Absorbing him inside of him, Justine and Rox watch as they for the first time see Other in true physical combat and not recognizing their shy humble friend as now he was completely unrecognizable. As Ty began to choke as Other absorbed him inside of himself, he spit him out and returning into his original form. Opening up a two portals, he threw his brother into one and spitting him out of the other. Ty flying through portal to portal, slowly getting faster and faster until Ty takes a pole from out of the wall and pierces Others hand with it, immediately closing the portals. Ty, dizzy and dazed snatched the metal rod out of Others hand and stabbing his foot with it. The two look at it as Other looks up at Ty and smiles. He snatches the rod out of his foot and jading it in Ty's rib. Ty screams in pain as his rib shatters.

"Why isn't he regenerating?" Justine asks as her and Rox watch now fearful.

"Oh my god, he doesn't have a healing factor, Other might actually kill him!" Rox says worried. With Ty on the ground screaming in pain Other stands over him as Justine grabs him and presses him against the wall.

"OTHER HE DOESN'T HAVE A HEALING FACTOR! YOU COULD KILL HIM" Justine yells as she holds Other against the wall. While Rox drags Ty into his Operating Room of his lab.

"Oh my god. I didn't know. TY I'M SO SORRY!" Other yelled.

"I HATE YOU!" Ty screamed as Rox dragged him away. Other felt bad and depressed he sat in the corner and began to cry, "I could've killed my brother, I was thisclose to killing him! This close!" Other said crying.

"He started it, he challenged you" Justine said comforting Other holding onto him, hugging him as he cried. Squeezing him as he started shaking from sadness, he vanished Justine didn't know where he went. She got up turned around and screamed his name as she rushed out of the door.
