The Magical Amulet

Chapter 1

                             -5 years later-

Sapphire's P.O.V.

Sapphire was in her room doing her homework when she heard the doorbell ring. She heard her aunt scream. No. It couldn't be them.
Her mind froze at the thought. After 7 years, they've come back. She locked her door and hid under the bed, like she did when she was 3.
The door broke down. The same men she saw 7 years ago came back. They searched her room head to toe. Sapphire held her amulet that her parents gave to her when she was little. Finally, one looked under the bed and saw her. Before Sapphire could react, he grabbed her and pulled her out of her hiding place.
"Look guys! I found a little girl under her bed!" The man said."You thought you could hide from us, didn't you?"
Sapphire tried to break her hand from the man's grip but he held her tight and firm.
"Let me go!" She shouted.
Then one of the men noticed her amulet.
"Well well well. I think we found what we're looking for." He reached for the amulet.
Suddenly the amulet flashed a bright light. The men closed their eyes. Sapphire was surprisingly immune to the light. She took this chance and broke free of her captors grasp. Then she ran out of her room and out the front door, clutching her amulet.
