Chapter 1 | Virtual World

"Hello new world, hello new adventure" I say as I stare into a blank surface lying outside my house located in the middle of nowhere. Hearing this voice echoing in my bedroom fills me with misery and loneliness but my robot butler Loki replies with a smile and remindes me to be happy since he cannot talk

When I get out of my bed I run to my CreaTablet charging in the corner to begin creating my next adventure. I open the Creation App and start drawing a new world.

Every world I create is different than the other, one could have a green field with white tulips and an other an erupting volcano spewing its lava onto the surface of the planet. I based all my creations from old books I have here since these are the only books around for me to read.

Then, suddenly, when I start drawing, a horrible sensation comes. My heart  beating a 100 per second, my body falling over on the ground, its like my muscles aren't responding to my brain. I was pale, death-looking, like a bird shot by a hunter, on the ground, screaming in pain.

Loki runs to my bedroom to find me paralized on the floor, then immidiatly after, runs to the kitchen to open a drawer and when he returns he was holding some kind of tube filled with green liquid that he dropped in my mouth

The suspicious green liquid surprisingly healed me almost instantly, then, to my surprise, Loki talked to me:

"Are you okay Mistress?" he asked

"Loki, you can talk !?"

"Yes. I had this capability since you were transported here"

"What do you mean by transported ?'as I replied with a confused and worried voice

"There is no time for explaining, we have to get you to safety first then  everything will be in its place"

Holding my hand titly, the robot butler begins to carry me around the house until we arrive at the back of it that was unknown to me.

This part of the house was dull with a few paintings hanging barely on the pinkish coloured dry wall trying to blend in with the other fun colours of the house.

Loki was holding in his mechanical arm a sort of key attached to a keychain with the words "EMERGENCY ESCAPE"  on it.

"Take your CreaTablet then come meet me here, I have unfinished buisness to attend to" said Loki in a stressed out voice

As soon as he finish talking, I obey his order and run to my bedroom to find my CreaTablet on the floor. I pick it up, unplug my charger to take it with me, then run to the meeting point.

5 minutes pass by, then an other 10 minutes. Usually, time flies by quickly but in this situation a second feels like an eternity. But, in time, Loki comes back with some kind of electronic map or an elekkon as I call it.

Elekkon are pretty amazing. You can track your location or your friends locations anytime but the only problem is that I'm the only one here so I never had the chance to test it out.

Loki gives me the elekkon and says to hold it tight.

As the robot butler finishes his words, a loud noise came from beyond the glass walls of my house.

A black figure was visible from far off the glass walls . It was pure black, almost like it was born within the darkness, perhaps. It was made of smoke with 2 glowing dots as eyes. Sounds came out of him. Terrifying sound. Metal grinding like noises. Almost unnatural. Almost.

"Let's go"

"Where?!"

"We need to go before she gets to us"

"She?"

"Yes, I'm sorry to tell you but..."

"But WHAT?!"

"That figure..."

"Just tell me already"

"That figure, her name is Cloud or preferably was Cloud."

Cloud. Cloud was a name familiar to me, like the name was encarved on my heart, almost like I knew that name from the beginning of my existence.

"Who'se Cloud?" I asked nervesly

"She doesn't go by that name anymore, she goes by Lin"

"Does it have a meaning, I mean the name Lin"

"Yes it does, it means... NOO"

Lin interrupted Loki with her trying to shatter the glass walls.

Loki said they were unpenetrable, that I was safe, protected, he was wrong.

"WE NEED TO GET OUT" said Loki

"WHERE, there is no escape. We're trapped here."

"Not exactly"

Loki, in a rushed move, wipes off dust some kind of hidden door and then  unlocks it with the emergency key.

"Go throught it, fast. Lin is almost here. Don't be scared, I will follow you"

A black hallway was in front of me, pitch black. I felt like I was entering a black hole. I was scared. Scared something would hurt me. But I trust Loki with my life. And in this situation I litteraly trusted him with my life.

As I enter the black void, I feel a sensation of releif, of purety and a sensation of freedom.

I enter slowly but then immidiatly remember Lin, so I run as fast as I can.

I turn for a bit and found Loki nowhere to be found but I run. It's the only thing I can do. Run.

I run for about 5 minutes when a light appears. It was blinding. A light so harsh.

I close my eyes but keep running.

I keep running.

I run.

Then, suddenly, I open my eyes.
