I wore a red dress. My black pumps clicking as a walked. Mascara and eyeliner ran down my face. There was more thunder, and it started to rain. "Three blocks away!? Are you kidding me?!" I screamed at no one in particular. It quickly got cold, seeing as it was just after 10. I slowly trudged to my apartment, hoping someone would be there to comfort me.
"Candace? Sophie? You guys home?" I called out. "In here!" Candace said from the couch. "Matt broke up with me." I sniffled, collapsing on the living room floor. "Err..." Sophie started quietly. "What now." I asked, not bother to move. "Well you said you were moving in with Matt next week... So we may or may not have found a new roommate that's moving in on Wednesday." Candace said quickly. "You're not serious." I smiled a bit, sitting up. Sophie awkwardly played with the ends of her silver hair. "Right?" I whispered. "We're sorry, Starr... We thought things were good. There's nothing we can do now." Candace replied quietly. "I'll uh, start looking for a new place." I said somberly, getting up and walking to my room. "Please don't be mad." I heard Sophie's small voice call after me. "I'm not. You didn't know." I said, before shutting the door, and getting out my laptop.
I searched apartments in London. I live on the very outskirts of London, even though I work almost right in the heart of the city. "Nice exposed brick, wood floors, tons of cabinet space, one bathroom, 4 bedrooms. Rent- 150 a week."I read aloud, before clicking the "email lister" button.
I talked aloud as I typed the email. "Hello, my name is Starr (like the Ringo). I'm very interested in moving into the apartment you have listed online. It says to email you for an interview, so, uh, here I am. Feel free to email me back with a time!" I clicked the send button, before turning on the tele. "On recent news, a scandal that's leaving millions confused tonight as -" my laptop cut off the news reporter. That was a fast reply. I again read aloud. "Hi, Starr (like the name by the way). My current roommate is moving out this upcoming Friday. I could meet you tomorrow at Starbucks around 10. I'll be there anyway, so you don't have to bother with replying. Thanks." This is perfect. It's so short notice too.
