Chapter 1:college debute

I just graduated from high school and I'm going to university to study in drama . My mom and dad are one of the richest people alive. I've never gotten that much attention the only attention I got was when it was the holidays."Carly it's time to go"my mom yelled from the first floor of the three story mansion "coming" I yelled I wasn't all that excited to leave but if I wanted to be successful in life I needed to . I quickly hurried down stairs with my luggage where my mom was waiting for me. "Ready?" She says . I replied with "yes " we headed for the roles Royce and buckled are seat  belts .
We were about 20 minutes in to the drive when my mother asked me if I was excited for school . "Yea this is gonna be the best four years of my life" I said nervously . My mom knew I was nervous but didn't say anything . We finally arrive at the university of Harvard after driving half an hour. "Here we are " my mom exclaimed . I let out a fake smile . We then got my luggage and headed to my dorm . We finally arrived . "It's cute " my mom said  I could tell she wasn't used to small rooms . We then started to get me settled in . About an hour later I'm all settled in . Out of no where a pretty girl with long hair blue eyes and freckles walks in . "Hi I'm Kate I'm your new room mate" she exclaimed . "Nice to meet you I'm Carly " I said . Then introduced her to my mother and then my mom hugged me and told me to do well in school .I was tired so I decided to get some rest and get to know Kate tommorow.

"Goodnight" I said to Kate

"Goodnight " she says

The next morning I woke up and had a missed call from my mom and dad

I called them back in a hurry

"Hey mom what's up " I said

"Hey honey we have something to tell you " she said nervously

At this point I could tell something was wrong my mom is never nervous or at least never shows that she's nervous

"Me and your dad have lost the mansion and all we own.... we have gone bankrupt " she continued

I started to cry and was unable to stop shaking

At this point my crying had woken up kate . I tried to hide my crying but I couldn't stay still and I kept making weird noises

"Hey what's wrong ... are you okay ?" Kate said concerned

I wouldn't talk to her . I mean after all I just met her yesterday . It's not easy to open up to a stranger that you have just moved in with.

But it's like she read my mind

She continued with a "I know we don't know each other but please talk to me

I ended up telling her what happend she felt really bad for me and told me maybe I should get a part time job

I wouldn't make enough money doing a part time job and I don't want to take out a loan I would be in debt for years

"Maybe I'll just become a stripper" I said jokingly
