Alexander has always been a completely diligent student. He never handed in his homework late, was always on time, and was amazing at essay writing. No one ever really ever thought of him as someone that could have any troubles with school. A complete straight A student is what he was, but all of this came at a price.
Although marvelous at school, all the homework piled onto him caused great stress, and sleep deprivation. It was basically eating away at his mental and physical health. He always had dark grey circles that encased his seemly dead eyes.
Alex's apartments living space was somewhat split between the 'office' part which was cluttered with paper and books, and the 'lounge' area which housed a small couch, and TV. Alex would often spend almost every waking moment sitting at the large wooden desk writing out simple sentences to countless paragraphs.
On a dreary November afternoon Alex was trying to finish an essay that was soon to be due. His pencil was almost gliding across the paper effortlessly, but time and time again everything he was doing would come to an abrupt stop.
His roommate, Lafayette and friend Hercules were nosily laughing away at an absurdly loud internet video and sometimes odd french songs would play along, and they would karaoke to it. Although unsurprisingly only Lafayette knew all the words too.
Alex stroked his free hand through his hair, toke a deep breath and tried to regain what little focus he had. Once again he put his pen to the paper, but was once again interrupted by loud laughter coming from the two that were mere meters away from him.
"See how hard he fails at parkour?! I bet even I could do better!" Snickered Hercules to Lafayette who is sitting right beside him.
"I'm not so sure about that mon ami, but I would root for ya." They continued to converse about the video boisterously for quite a few minutes after their already loud interruption.
Eventually and all at once Alex yanked his book-bag up onto his desk and furiously started to stuff all of his notes, among other things into it. soon he had finished, thereafter he jerked the heavy bag onto his grey hoodie clad back, and sped out the door.
His head was overfilling with stress. Overly loud noise from other people always seemed to bother him a lot, but he also didn't want to yell at them to get out. The last time he did so he had gotten into a heated argument with Lafayette. Which ended up with them not talking for 4 days straight.
Once he realized he had walked all the way to town, he sighed deeply and began to look for a place of Solitude where he could write freely. His eyes scanned up across the street then laid upon a small floral shop a bit further up ahead. He then began to advance towards the quaint looking shop.
He arrived at the front of the floral shop. It was nothing too flamboyant, but still had a warm charm from it. He opened the door and a tranquil chime welcomed him in.
