"I guess this is your stop," The two were parked in front of Matthew's spacious house, where Oliver watched them from the upstairs window. Matt flipped him off, and he laughed before closing the blue curtains and leaving them be.
"I guess it is." He had so much fun during Christmas, he didn't want it to end. On the bright side, he was going to see him in a couple of days for New Years anyways, and it wasn't like they weren't going to text or Facetime every moment they could.
"I'll text you," Gilbert reassured him, bringing out his phone and pulling up their not so sappy text messages. Then he pulled out the camera. For a reason unknown, Matthew posed and Gil snapped a picture. When it was over, he asked him what that was even for.
Gilbert stuttered, "Well, uh, I mean... Maybe our kids wanted to see when we looked like when we were young." He puffed his chest out, and couldn't help but laugh. So, the Canadian pulled out his phone and took a picture of Gilbert mid-laugh. Then, with a kiss, he got out of the vehicle. Shaking his head when Gil ripped out of the driveway in a rush and screaming "I love you" out the window, he climbed his front stairs and walked into the house. It was chaos.
"Jean, why are you looking up memes while we're watching this stupid French movie about suicide?!" Oliver hollered at the top of his lungs, playing tug of war with the remote control. Jean-Pierre, his boyfriend he refused to admit was his boyfriend, wasn't even trying to win the battle but did anyways. He continued to scroll down his phone.
All across the living room was an assortment of pillows, blankets, coffee cups on the coffee tables, and a fork stuck on the curtains behind the couch.
"What is going on here?" Matt asked quietly, kicking his shoes off and picking up his dog, Kumawirou (or whatever his name was) from the floor next to him. He danced with excitement on his hind legs and happily licked all over his owner's face when given the chance.
"Nothing much," Jean-Pierre answered with sarcasm. Matt was too tired to deal with their antics. So, he let his fluff ball of a dog follow him upstairs and sleep in his bed. That night, he dreamed only of Gilbert and how he treated him so well. Why he deserved him, he had no clue. He thought that he was way too uptight and quiet. There were many things that Matthew didn't like about himself, but Gilbert somehow managed to make those small insecurities disappear. It just drew him in, and he felt captured and transfixed with everything Gil did for and to him. No, Matthew's boyfriend would never realize how perfect he was in his eyes.

"WHAT KINDA BUBBLE GUM HAVE YOU BEEN BLOWING LATELY?!" Blurted the Prussian from the shower, singing into the detachable showerhead. Ludwig liked Halsey, but not his brothers' rendition.
Ludwig pounded on the door and shouted, his mouth pressed flush to the wood. "Shut up!"
"WE ARE THE NEW AMERICANA! HIGH ON LEGAL MARIJUANA!" Gil continued to sing without so much as a care. Today was the day after they had gotten back from the trip to the UK, and he had arranged to meet up with Mattie at a local pub to drink and drown his sorrows away in some good beer. Stepping out of the shower and almost falling, he got dressed in a hurry. Tripping over one of the dogs out of the bathroom door, Ludwig was cleaning up the house somewhere while he was trying to leave.
"Don't forget these," his brother stood in front of the maple door, holding his coat and a bouquet of red and white flowers. Right! He got those for Matthew. Good thing he didn't forget them. Nodding with gratitude, Gilbert got into his car and sped off towards the pub.

"Where is he..." Staring down at his phone, the Canadian stood outside waiting for his boyfriend to appear. He was 5 minutes late, and honestly, Matt was wondering why he was worrying so much. Traffic could have been a factor in his late arrival. Rubbing his hands together to warm them up, a familiar car pulled in front of him. Finally!"I am so sorry I'm late," Gilbert stepped out of the car, out of breath and laughing. He handed the flowers to Matthew. His eyes opened in surprise while he moved his blonde hair away from his face.
"What are these for, babe?"
"Being late," he responded. Hoping that was a suitable apology, Matthew was blushing the whole time walking to his car. That was so sweet of him!
They walked hand and hand into the bar. It wasn't empty in the slightest. Again, there was a hockey game with the Leafs and the Penguins. God, how he hated the Penguins. They were all trouble and played extremely dirty. Hockey itself was an aggressive sport already, but Pittsburgh took it to a whole new level.
"Come on, let's get a good seat!" He let Gilbert to the bar in front of a flatscreen. The people who were sitting there before must have just left, or the seat would have been taken.
"Order what you want, babe. It's on me," he said, flashing a smile and a black MasterCard. Gilbert laughed heartily and pointed.
"Your best top-shelf whiskey on the rocks," he told the bartender, who nodded and quickly made their drinks. Matthew ordered Sex on the Beach, which he never knew was his type of thing.
"So, did you enjoy our little vacation?" Matt asked, sipping on his drink through a neon pink straw.
"Very much. It was a good chance to get to know you and your family. One day you'll get to know mine and enjoy our world-famous "German Sparkle Party." Trust me, it's about as gay as it sounds." Gilbert took a sip of the whiskey in front of him. He was taken aback by how good it was. Well, it should have been for about $10 a shot
"Hm, very interesting," Matthew said while he stroked an imaginary beard. Gilbert almost forgot to tell Matthew what his surprise was. Well, it wouldn't be a surprise for long!
"So, Mattie, have you ever been on that big Ferris wheel in the center of the city?"
"Nope. Never had time. Plus I thought that was a special permission thing. Only people with tickets could have a ride, right? Why?" Reaching into his pocket, Gilbert pulled out two tickets, lined with gold and very elegantly presented. In an instantaneous moment, Matthew reached out and hugged him. Some people turned when they heard him screech. The crazy Canadian loved heights and wanted to ride the Ferris wheel so badly ever since it was built.
"Oh my god I love you I love you I love you!!" He hollered, hugging him tighter than ever. He hugged back, not really enjoying being suffocated. But, anything for his little Matthew. He couldn't give him enough.
"I love you too."
