"Valentine!"

"Whaa!" Vale jumps in his chair dropping his fork in a loud clatter. He snaps his head up to see Gabe standing beside him, dressed in a business suit. It was a dark blue; with a paisley necktie colored in orange, green and brown hung around his shoulders. On his face was an expression of concern.

"Bro, I've been calling you for the past two minutes."

"Oh, sorry, man." He blinks his eyes. "What do you need?"

But his brother doesn't say. Instead, he takes a seat across from him. "Are you gonna tell me now?"

V tenses.

It's been two days since Rosia's second confession and he hasn't said a word about it. In fact, he hasn't made a peep at all over the weekend. He's been holed up his room doing nothing but study - the only time he came out out was to eat. Even when he was finished with his assignments, he did extra work just to keep his mind occupied or else.

"Valentine?"

"It's nothing," he mumbles.

"Really?"

"Yeah."

He heaves out loud. "Valentine, you really are a drama queen, you know that? It's not going to kill you to reveal what happened, even if it -"

Vale doesn't hear the rest of what his brother says as his mind unwillingly returns him back to the past. Back to the mountains. Back to the zen garden. Back to her.

'I know what you're going to tell me, but it's not going to change what I feel.'

He, subconsciously, begins scrapping the points of his fork on the plate.

'I'm not going to take back what I said and I won't apologize for it either.'

His grip on the utensil tightens.

'These feelings, these thoughts, they're all real.'

Pressure is added to the fork and scraggly lines trail behind it.

'All I want is for you to admit the truth.'

"Vale." His brother spoke, but he didn't hear.

'I'll make you admit the truth. I'll use every trick and tactic to get those three simple words out. It's a promise!'

"Vale."

'I love you, Valentine!'

"Vale!" His brother yells, shaking him until the fork flew out of his hand.

"What?!" He snaps.

"Idiot, learn to control your powers!" He gestures around them. Vale saw every object in the apartment levitating up to the ceiling and he immediately regains his composure setting everything back to their place.

"You either tell me what happened over the weekend or I'll snitch on you to mom and dad."

"It's nothing important."

Gabe heaves out loud. "Yeah, because crossing the Tribunal is nothing to worry about."

"I can handle the situation."

"I know you can, but it's still not good to bottle it up. Talk to me, man." He grips his brother's shoulder.

But Vale doesn't say anything. What could he say? He still doesn't believe what happen happened. It was too insane to be real. She's completely aware of the consequences, but she's still willing to risk it. Why? He can only think of one explanation.
