Before The "Offer"
Beverly Hills California May 2009
It pains me to remember how I was before the "offer." I was a blond, tanned, popular, and loved junior in high school with so much love and money my life couldn't get any better. My life was none the less perfect, until one day like any other. I still remember it like it was yesterday even though it was almost a year ago. A woman came to my house (mansion) one day after school it was a Thursday. She was wearing a navy blue, dress suit. She looked old and young at the same time, her hair was up in a twisted bun near the middle of her head. She wanted to talk to my parents. I guessed, not having any clue as to what was going to happen in my near future. I saw her walk to the house from the built in salon in the much smaller portion of my parents humongous estate. At the time I just blew it off. Man if I knew what was coming I would have ran for the hills. A couple hours after she arrived I saw my parents and the woman, named Elaine. Coming toward me, I got up out of the chair to meet them at the door. My parents told me that this strange woman had a very "special" offer for me. (not that I had a choice.) I had no choice in the matters at hand. Apparently when my parents first had me they made this deal with Elaine, I still don't understand it. I had to do the worst thing in the history of worst things, I had to say good-bye to my friends, move away from my beautiful home in Beverly hills, and on top of all that I had to be somebody else for an entire year. Not just somebody else I had to be a goth chic ugh. I went from beautifully tanned, always wearing pink or some other very bright color, blond hair, and nearly perfect. To a pale, long black haired, always wearing black and chains, along with other accessories she had never heard of. "bad girl." this was the worst thing ever to happen in her life. She was going to be transferred to some boarding school called Center Spotlight in North Dakota. Next school year her SENIOR year of all years. Good-bye Cherish Macowen, Hello Anastasia Pauley
