jinyoung was on his way back to the dormitory, walking fast for no reason because why not, you know? he naturally walked quite fast anyway. the boy clutched his books tightly in his arms and leaned forward a bit as it started to rain. well, more like drizzle, and jinyoung hoped he could get back to his room before it started pouring.
staring at his feet while he walked, jinyoung didn't realize there was someone running right for him. that someone also happened to be shouting at him to move, but jinyoung was actually being oblivious for once, busy thinking about the guy from yesterday night.
speak— well, in this case, think of the devil...
the two boys collided and jinyoung fell back, his books flying everywhere. the other person didn't fall over which was probably because he had a way better build than jinyoung. "ah, shit. man, i'm—" the brunette stopped talking as soon as jinyoung looked up and they locked eyes. he felt tears forming in his eyes so he turned his head away, holding out a hand towards the boy on the ground. "sorry." he muttered.
jinyoung reached up and grabbed onto the guy's hand, letting himself be pulled up from the ground. once he was standing, he had a much better view of his face. first, he realized he was the guy from last night. second, he wondered why said guy was clenching his jaw so hard, there's no way that could be comfortable.
"are you okay...?" the raven-haired male reached out a hand, an image from his dream last night popping up in the back of his head, and carefully touched the brunette's shoulder. before he could actually lay a finger on him, however, he flinched away and started gathering up jinyoung's books.
he shoved them into jinyoung's arms and brushed passed him without saying a word, avoiding eye contact as best as he possibly could. jinyoung was left alone and extremely confused. suddenly, thunder roared and it began pouring down rain. jinyoung groaned, glared up at the sky, and continued walking towards the dormitory.

jackson burst through the door of his dorm room, huffing and looking very disgruntled. coincidentally, all four of his friends were already sitting in his room, playing jenga. jackson stepped over their tower of blocks and sat down on his bed, his arms and legs crossed. he looked like an upset child.
"jackson, you bitch, you almost knocked it down!" his Thicc-lipped friend yelled, throwing an extra block at the brunette. jackson quickly picked up the block that missed him by a hair and chucked it back, successfully hitting the tower and knocking it down. they all looked at jackson like he had just kicked a puppy, youngjae looking especially heartbroken.
"i can't believe no one told me jinyoung was here! i mean, i thought i saw him yesterday, yeah, but that was only for a second! what the hell, guys?!" jackson groaned loudly and flopped back onto his bed, glaring holes into the ceiling. "oh, that reminds me! jackson, did you know jinyoung is here?" bambam asked, tilting his head at the elder.
let's just say, if the other three males hadn't been in the room, bambam would be a dead boy.

"jackson, stop the car!"
jinyoung woke up abruptly for the second night in a row, sweating this time and gasping for air. that was horrible... it seemed so realistic, but jinyoung didn't understand why.
he sat there in his bed for a while until a light was suddenly shone in his eyes, blinding him. "what the hell?!" he exclaimed, flailing his arms about as he fell onto his back and hit his head on the headboard.
mark's eyes widened and he leaned forward, looming over jinyoung. "ah, sorry! i was checking make sure you were still alive and..." he trailed off as he looked at jinyoung with eyes full of concern. jinyoung rolled his eyes and sat up again, purposefully hitting mark's forehead with his own. "did you need something?"
"no," mark began with a shake of his head, "i just wanted to know if you were okay. i mean, it seemed like you had a nightmare, or something. i came to offer my assistance since i used to have nightmares a lot and it helped me when a had someone to talk about them to. plus, i'm majoring in psychology, so..." jinyoung's mouth formed an 'o' shape and he nodded.
jinyoung told mark all about the nightmare and the dream from the night before and mark listened very carefully. once the younger was finished speaking, the elder spoke up. "those are very detailed dreams, though... if you don't mind me asking, have you had amnesia before?" jinyoung nodded slowly in response to his question and he continued. "then maybe these are memories coming back to you, like, memory fragments."
"but, my mom said i already remember everything from before the accident." jinyoung said with furrowed eyebrows. mark shrugged. "maybe your mom is a piece of shit." jinyoung shrugged as well.
after that, the two boys talked until the sun came up, both deciding they should get to know each other better since they were roomies.
