Snow swirled around outside the cold, stone cave. Xhindre curled up against his dark furred mother for warmth. It had been snowing outside for a hundred years, endlessly. The wind howled outside, scaring the wolf pups.

"Xhindre, get up. We have to go," said Tzili, his sister.

The Ancient Leaders had been granted with thick and luscious fur by their sun god, Ka'a, for mercy. Tzili was born with deep blue fur that has white tips on her ears and tail. Her claws were as large as a tiger claws, for hunting and killing for the Ice Pack. Xhindre was born with snow white fur to camouflage into the snow. He and Tzili left the stone cave and met up with Alpha Ayperos. He was named after the demon Ayperos because of his maliciousness. Ayperos was a large wolf. His fur was originally white just like Xhindre's, but after years of war and killing, his fur was stained deep red and scars decorated his body and face. The cold weather hardened his soul and he killed to feed into his bloodlust.

Of course, Ayperos needed to feed his pack. The trio ran out into the cold, harsh weather and the snow reached up to their forearm. The wind whipped around their long fur, blinding them. Night had soon fallen, covering the trio in a blanket of darkness. Ayperos, Tzili, and Xhindre lied underneath a Spruce tree to cover them from the harsh snow. The trio curled up against each other to save heat. A crack of a branch caught Ayperos' attention. He lifted his snow white head to find a large black wolf with red eyes in the dark bushes.

"Look out!" Ayperos yelled. Xhindre looked up then ducked as a black wolf launched himself at him. The large wolf stood up and the wind and ice worsened. The black wolf growled as he stared down at them in anger and his fur was standing on end. Snow frosted his black fur like dust on the bottom of their cave. Ayperos growled softly at the foreign wolf.

"I am Grishnakh. Keeper of the Frozen Plains." Grishnakh said. His deep voice split into two. A female voice and a male voice in one. Ayperos growled at Grishnakh. His stained fur stood on end as Tzili seemed to blend into the darkness. Tzili's paws were muffled by the snow, leaving no noise and also no trace. Xhindre snuck up behind Grishnakh as he continued to talk and Ayperos kept distracting him.

"You are trespassing on Lai's territory." The snow worsened as he mentioned the evil god's name. Lai is the God of destruction and vain. He must have created this storm. Ayperos lied down on his belly. The wind whipped his red stained fur around his body, making him appear larger than normal. Ayperos mumbled softly to himself and the demonic wolf leaned forward. The wind seemed to move with him, causing Tzili and Xhindre to cover themselves in the brush and snow. Grishnakh leaned forward intently, curious as to what Ayperos was saying under his breath.

"Speak up, mortal!" Grishnakh bellowed at Ayperos. Ayperos lifted up his head.

"In the name of Ka'a! I expel this demon! Ka'a save your child!" Ayperos bellowed as Grishnakh screeched. Tzili and Xhindre jumped out of the bushes and held him down. Grishnakh tried to wriggle out from under the large wolves' weight. Wind and snow swirled around them, blinding them as ice pelted down on top of the four wolves and Grishnakh gave one final shriek. Tzili, Xhindre, Grishnakh, and Ayperos were thrown into a snow storm as Grishnakh shrieked.

The wind and snow finished as the exhausted wolves walked in darkness until the air began to warm. Snow melted as quickly as it came and the sun shined on their fur. Tzili gasped in excitement, smelling the new flowers and grass. The trio of brave wolves walked back to the cave and found their families bathing in the warm sun. Ayperos lifted his to the sky.

"Thank you, Ka'a. We are forever in your debt," he whispered and tackled his pups playfully.
