~Kiku's P.O.V~

I flung open the door in a calm, swift motion as I took my first steps into the large room, a mixed fragrance reached my nose. The scents slowly changed and altered while walking past each chair, each one having it's assigned country in place. It was slightly challenging to keep my composure due to the aromas having change so much. Every one of the countries smelled different. England smelled like Lilac and Honey, Russia didn't smell much like anything to me, Canada smelled like bread and Pine, while France smelled like wine and roses (Not much of a surprise, I know.) The loud American's seat stood beside my own. I begun to walk past America's chair to get to my spot and begin the meeting that was now running late because I had not come on time. As I breathed in I noticed... America smelled so clean. I imagined him to smell like grease or burgers, but no! He smelled absolutely beautiful... Much like a garden. I sat in my assigned chair. Within what felt like no time at all, the majority of the room had already seemed to start bickering with one another. This is completely ridiculous! How is everyone so alright with this madness? I feel so much like an old man and I'm not even that old! Everyone seemed to just go back and forth, fighting about either their past or just something insignificant. "Japan, tell us what you think! This is a terrible idea, is it not?" England had called out to me, speaking of America's unintelligible rant about heroines. Due to myself not completely paying attention I just went out and said, "I-I... agree with America-san." The blue eyed man stopped ranting for a moment and his eyes lit up, a smile widening on his face. "Really, bro?! See, someone actually gets it!" He let out his hearty, obnoxious laugh. Why was he so openly happy all the time?... Well he is America.. He does tend to be free. By the time his laugh was over he went back to rambling nonsense as Britain hung his head in shame of the thought someone as serious as myself would agree with immaturity opposed to himself, the gentleman. I nervously continued to sit in my chair trying to understand the words coming out of the energetic blonde's mouth.

~Time skip once the meeting ended~

People began to exit the room. I grabbed the paperwork that was handed to me that I needed to finish sometime soon. I sighed once I had begun to walk to the doorway due to the stress of the idea of having to deal with the work. "Yo, Japan!" I turned back to the American running up to me with a smile. "Yes, America-san?" I spoke in my normal calm voice, not showing much emotion. "Thanks for backing me up about heroes! If you didn't Britain would have probably chewed my ass out in front of everyone." His bright blue eyes shined like clear water with that big, happy smile of his. I tried my best not to smile or blush at the man in front of me. "You are welcome. It was not difficult." The man's smile disappeared for a moment which put me off. Luckily, he was only thinking so it quickly returned. "HEY!" I jolted at the sudden loud speaking. "Why don't we go do something or go to my place? It'd be fun to pay you back!" I opened my mouth to decline and he already noticed what I was going to say. His eyes lost some of it's glimmer and his smile was gone. I had upset him already. I hated the look of someone so happy all the time to look so disappointed, like a child who had just heard their puppy died during the surgery they promised the small animal would make it out of. ".... That's okay... You don't have to come... Sorry for bothering you........ Japan." Once he called me 'Japan' I couldn't stand it. I did not like to be called 'dude' or 'bro', but he calls all his friends that! I didn't want to be on his bad side or know he was no longer a friend of mine. "N-no, you must have misunderstood me...!" His eyes started to shimmer some more after he heard that. "I-I have to get some work done! Once it is finished I can come to see you. Is that alright with you?" America looked at me for a couple more seconds and his smile had returned. "Hells yeah, dude! Come by whenever you're done and I'll plan some things to do!" I was tempted to smile, but restrained it. "It is a date then." I begun to walk out the door once more.

Once the Japanese man left the room I remained in there with the paperwork in my hand. "A date..? Did he get the wrong idea?" I thought for a couple more moments. Of course Japan hadn't gotten the wrong idea, but I didn't know that yet. "I don't want Japan to hate me... I'll just go with it then! A date with Kiku can't be that bad." Little did I know I was the only one with the wrong idea.
