"Rubert!" Tania screamed flailing her arms around all while running towards the curly haired male. "What is it this" Before Rubert could finish his sentence he spotted a player, looked at Tania's arm and knew exactly what was going on. The player wore leather attire, seeming to be relevantly new to the MMORPG game.
He quickly had Tania go behind him, leaning his torso to the side holding a dagger. Soon two other War Nymph Soldiers gathered around the player. The first soldier went for the players legs, the second going for the players torso. Rubert however stood there and watched silently observing the player. Rubert was far too experienced to join in this, fight. He simply watched as his other fellow soldiers had finished the job for him. Tania looked at him with her cheeks puffed out.
"Rubert! I wanted you to defend me! Not them!"
"Ahaha, sorry princess, but that player was simply not worth my time and wasn't worth yours either."
"How would you know? Look, I got hurt while fighting this player that you call unworthy! What do you have to say about yourself as my soldier?"
"Well princess, it's not quite deep of a cut and your hp has hardly taken a downfall. You let him hit you."
"..."
The War Nymph floated there silently before muttering something under her breath and flying away sulking. Rubert let out a light chuckle as he watched her fly away, he knew she was far stronger then she pretends to be. After all, that's how the creator of this game had programmed her to be. Him however, knew his place, just another Nymph Soldier in the game. Nothing special.
Tania landed on the top of the main tree. It was designed beautifully, a large red wood in the middle of the floor, lights decorating the tree making it clear to the eyes of players whom were surrounded by a clear sky with bright shining stars across. Nymph Soldiers spread across the area, Royal Nymph guards near the bottom of the red wood, lively dancers inside along with maids who all were ruled by the great War Nymph. A beautiful place, protected by those who wanted to keep their leader safe.
Sadly, peace could never be a reality for these creatures, players would break in and massacre these innocent beings, for this reason the nymphs progressively became angry and grew a deep hatred for these players.
Tania sighed to herself kicking her feet, guarded by a beautiful boot that kept its shape with golden decoration. On her lap sat a staff that held the power to manipulate light. "Stupid Rubert... Why are you the only one that doesn't fall for my tricks..." Tania stood up with her staff flying it towards the main part of the red wood causing it pin into it like a dart to its board. As Tania thought about it the more it didn't make sense to her. She stomped on the branch while biting at her nails.
Every once in a while the branch would begin to break off a little more, and eventually the whole branch broke off. Tania used her fairy like wings to keep afloat and waited for the branch to regenerate itself. The sight of it had always amazed her since she was a kid. She couldn't quite get a grip on how the tree would be able to grow back fallen parts so quickly, while those who worked under her would have to suffer the loss until a player had finished them off.
Tania soon snapped out of her thinking to a loud march from a distance. She ripped her staff out of the tree and went to check it out, remaining to keep her presence concealed. She watched as a powerful guild began to rip the citizens of hers to shreds. Her eyes widened at the sight, letting out a small gasp.
This same event happened decades ago, Tania flew back before stopping quickly and looking up at the night sky. The once beautiful clear sky was full of clouds. She looked down to the guild to see them cheering.
"The event was triggered!"
"Finally! It took us so long to do this!"
"I thought 3 years would past in the real world before we could even start this event"
Tania frantically scanned the area, the trees that stood below the red wood began to decay, emerald green grass faded from color and so did the abundance of colorful flowers. She quickly headed back to the red wood before diving down to where she spotted Nymph soldiers fighting. She eyed around looking for Rubert, She didn't know why she wanted to see him.
Her eyes began to become teary but, before the crystal droplet could fall to her cheek she spotted him, he was in the distance. He seemed to be struggling with the fight along a guild member. His small dagger deflecting each strike of the players sword. It was a loosing battle, as the player fought him, it caused Rubert to step back, more, and more, and more...
Then, finally. The player had landed a hit, the player began to become more skilled, She changed the pattern of her strikes completely. Rubert could no longer predict where the player aimed. A strike one after another, blood gushed out of his deep cuts.
Tania couldn't stand the sight of it all. This guild invading her home, killing off innocent citizens, and hurting Rubert, the one that she held dearest in her heart.
Rubert fell to the ground taking large gasps for air. His knees surrounded by his own pool of blood. The player decided to end the suffering and killed him. His body slowly went disappeared pixel by pixel. Tania's eyes once again became teary. Unlike the first time, the tears did not stop. A droplet, one after another fell to her cheeks and down onto the colorless ground.
She was sad, depressed even. It was then that she knew what her title meant. Why she was known as the War Nymph. She flew up to the stormy sky's and held up her staff chanting words that can't be translated to the human language. Finishing her chant, a beam of burning light began to strike the guild members one by one. Those who weren't taken out got striked with one after another.
Months passed since the event attempt was started. The floor flourished with color and the beautiful clear night sky came back. The town was at peace once again, but there was one thing that remained the same that stormy night. The hatred in Tania's heart for players who came by.
Soon enough the creator of the game had to fix the area up because of Tania's rampage against challenging players, but before the creator of the game could do it he read Tania's final words before she was deleted for good.
"Players can respond remaining complete memory of themselves, meanwhile if we are deleted, we never come back the same."
Those were Tania's last words before she was deleted and replaced with a new War Nymph.
