MISSING YOU

Gone by the wind, your memory to rest

Staring at the night sky with my head upon your chest

And I remember the first time we ever met

You were a dream came true I can never forget

Suppressed by that moment I knew my greatest fear

Your goodbye is something I don't want to hear

The wind caressing strands of your hair

Picturing that was as perfect as your stare

The river flows and the sea shallows

You went then left so fast yet so slow

Fast for you've gone in the dark like a shadow

Slow for I need more time for you to borrow

In an open space I sat and wrote your name

Like my longing I hope it won't fade

I do have this determination to wait

For I know you'll come back no matter what it takes
