[Tanya's P.O.V.]
I checked my watch again it was 5:40pm another twenty minutes until boarding time. I had already been waiting for an hour now, checking my social sites now and then, looking around the airport, getting myself coffee I was very bored now. I literally had nothing to do. I looked around again hoping to see at least one familiar face but the face of the coffee stall boy was the only familiar face I had been seeing for the past hour. I took out my phone again. Just twenty more minutes and this will end.
As I went through my phone again I felt someone tap my shoulder. I looked up to see a boy, well a man maybe around my age most probably.I stood up facing him.
'Tanya right?' he said bringing his right hand foreword.
I took his hand and shook it gently ' Yes but do I know you?' he surely wasn't someone I knew.
'I am Vivaan joshi and no you don't know me yet. Your parents came over last week to my place telling me how you were too going to come to Bangalore to do your masters.' He said. Then it hit me.
'Ah! So you are Uncle Ajay's son.' I didn't realise I was still holding his hand I let it go feeling embarrased.
'Now you know me.' He smiled 'I hadn't known you too were leaving today. It's a good thing I saw you, I can help you get to the college. You are staying in the hostel right?'
'Yes. Yes I am. How about you? Oh and please take a seat.'
He sat beside me, ' I stay at a rent house along with my friends.'
'I see.' I had nothing else to say. We both felt silent. "By the way, how did you recognise me?'
' Your mother showed me your picture saying incase I meet you, at least I would be able to recognise you' he replied.
I really wonder which picture did she show, I tried to remember the pictures she had of me on her phone. I pray it was a decent one.
'So why Bangalore?' he asked bringing me out of my thoughts.
'Well, most of my friends are going there so I thought it would be easier adjusting in a place where I already have people I know.' He laughed softly.
'Following people may not always be a smart choice.'
'That's not the only reason.....' I was cut short by the attendant announcing it was time to board the plane.
'That's for us.' He said standing up and getting his bags ready.
I got up too.
'What's your seat number?'he asked
'It's 12F.'I said checking my ticket.
'Mine is 20D. Let's go shall we. Let me take your baggage.' He swiftly lifted up my hand luggage despite my protest. We boarded the plane and he even put my bag on the luggage chamber. I mumbled a thanks and sat at my respective seat.
Thinking about it Vivaan doesn't seem to be bad. He is well mannered, well you don't judge a book by it's cover and maybe he is being helpful for the sake of my parents. Mum surely must have told him to look after me as I am not able to do that on my own. I can even hear her say that. But I would still like to think Vivaan to be a nice person and he is not bad looking as well. I always had a thing for tall guys not that I like him or anything. Gosh Tanya stop thinking. And what on earth are you even thinking. You just met him girl. Calm down.
Whatever be it I hope my decision to go to Bangalore was the right one. I am very excited about this. The plane took off and i can see my city getting smaller and smaller and finally disappearing among the clouds. Well a new journey awaits me. Bye mumma and papa for now I will be back soon. I will make you both proud. You won't regret your decision. I am so grateful to you both for giving me this opputunity.
