Part 42

As soon as I received my token, it was time for us to leave for the airport. There was a glim atmosphere in our bus when we stepped in it on the parking lot after saying goodbye to our host families and no one said a thing, except for those that never shut their mouths. I leaned my head on the window and looked out. All I could see was sobbing faces all around the bus and when I spotted Britt's face, I couldn't hold it in anymore. I began to cry as well. This seemed so unfair, just leaving Blackpool behind. But deep down I knew this was the way things went, this was the way the universe worked and I had to accept it. Besides, when I get home, I will see my parents, Yura, and Jeongguk... Oh Kookie, I miss you... I wanted to text him but I had no Wifi, guess I had to wait untill we arrived at the airport.
And just like that, we drove. I plugged in my headphones and listened to some music, I just downloaded the newest kpop charts and a few recommendations of Yura. I hummed quietly to the music, but when "Just one day" came on, I was confused. Somehow, these voices sounded so familar. But where had I heard them before? Aaah, I probably heard them some time before with another song. What was this band called? I could only see the name written in hangeul so I coulnd't know. First thing on my list when I get home tho.
Two hours later we arrived at Leads airport and after we checked in, we just sat there waiting for the boarding.
"Aish, even the stupid Wifi isn't working, stupid day", I mumbled. I stood up and went to get a drink from starbucks. I decided to go with the caramel macchiato, which was my all time favourite these days. I went back to the group and only shortly after, we were told that our plane was ready to board.
I took my seat on the plane and listened to some music again. But this song made me thoughtful. I still couldn't believe that Jeongguk really liked me, it seemed to unreal. I just didn't know how to handle it. Also, I was scared to let myself fall but I knew that if I didn't, we'd have no base to build trust on. With these thoughts I went into a slumber and woke up when the pilot told us to buckle up again since we landed at Düsseldorf airport.
When all the organisational stuff was done and we finally had our belongings, we said goodbye to our supervisor and seperated. I rode with my friends' parents home and when I got there, I fell asleep immediately after greeting my parents.
It was 11 p.m when I woke up again and I was still tired. However, I still stood up and went to the kitchen to make myself something to eat because I felt hungry, which I haven't felt the whole time I was in Blackpool. So I was curious to how much weight I lost. So instead of eating, I went to the bathroom first to discover I had lost 3 kg's! In five days, wow.... That was what I always wanted, to lose weight fast. I hoped it would continue like this from now on, because when summer would come I wanted to look skinny, these thoughts never seemed to leave my mind.
But then I really went to the kitchen and had something to eat. As I waited for my toast to pop out, I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket. oh, three messages from Jeongguk.

"Su, did you forget me?"

"Hello? Su, please reply so I know you're home safe"

"Aish you girl, call me when you get this"

So I called him. He picked up after the first ring.

"Hello? Su?", he said panicky.
"Ne,annyeong Kookie!", I replied cheerful.
"Oh thank god you're safe, I thought something happened to you! I knew you landed at 7 o'clock so I just waited for your call..."
"Woah slow down there. You don't have to worry, but I was just so tired, I fell asleep as soon as I sat on my bed. But I am sorry I worried you."
He sighed. "It's fine Su, I'm just glad you are okay. So I guess you're not up for movie night?"
Oh, I totally forgot we were supposed to meet. "Ehm, yeah, sure I'll come over."
"Great, I will pick you up in 20 minutes?"
"Great, I'll see you soon". I put my phone down, just to hear my mum say: "Who are you going to see soon?" Crap, I didn't tell her anything yet. Well, I guess it was time now.
"Mom, I gotta tell you something."
