I got back to my apartment, to something I never could've imagined happening to me. The whole apartment had been tossed upside down. I instantly got out my phone and dialled 911.
"Honolulu police department, what is your emergency?" The operator spoke.
"My name is Officer Abigail Hale badge number 61325, I need to report a break in!" I spoke.
Within minutes, 2 patrol cars pulled up outside mine, along with a squad car. "Officer Hale, are you okay?" my sergeant, Duke Lukela asked. I nodded. "Anything of any value missing?" He questioned.
"I haven't done a full check but my computer and television are still there, that's probably the most value I have in this little place!" I said. I went back inside. I was just standing there, staring at the mess, when I heard someone call out my name. "Abi?" they said as they approached me. "Commander McGarret?" I said. he gave me this look as if to say, 'dude, I told you to call me steve' Not that he speaks like that, that's just how id picture it. "Are you okay?" He asked. I nodded. "Im fine, by the time I got back the intruders where gone, but nothing else was!" I said. A short blonde headed man had come up behind Steve, along with 3 others. "Abi, this is my partner detective Danny Williams, officer kono kalakua, Lieutenant Chin Ho Kelly ,and Captain Lou Grover, guys, this is Officer Abigail Hale, shes gonna be working with us on an old case ive decided to re open!" He introduced. I smiled."Right well weve got Jerry looking at the surveillance footage from this morning and the traffic cameras, hes gonna let us know when hes found something!" Detevtive Williams said.
"What did you mean by nothing else was gone?" Officer Kalakua asked.
"The placed had been ransacked, but nothing of any value was took!" I Said.
"That's gotta mean they were looking for something specific!" he said. I thought to myself for a few moments. What on earth in this little apartment could mean anything to these people, then it hit me. I ran into my office room and grabbed my laptop. it was logged on, but I knew I logged it off. I went onto the file where I had been gathering evidence on lillys murder, but it had all been erased. I slammed down the lid and smashed a glass onto the floor. Steve looked at me in confusion. "For the last year and a half, ive been building a case on john Santiago, the man I believe had something to do with the kidnapping, and now, all the evidence I had, is gone! its been wiped clean!" I sighed.
"Kono, get this down to eric, see if he can get any finger prints off this!" Steve said, handing my laptop to Kono. She nodded and left instantly. "Steve we have to go after John Santiago!" I said.
"Abs don't get all goofy on me, were gonna find out who wiped your laptop, get them in the hole, make them give us the name of who hired them to break into your home, then go after them!" He said.
