My eyes screwed shut as the pressure in my head began to build, my lungs screamed in agony roaring at me to inhale. My throat burned for air as I was on the verge of unconsciousness. My body felt as heavy as lead as I began to fall away from the one thing I needed, I opened my eyes only for the burning pain to hit them. Although my vision was blurred I could see the light above me as it rippled. Moving my hands upwards I tried moving towards the yellow light that teased me, dark blue surrounded me as little creatures that barely made it into my vision swam by. Screaming in frustration and in fear water filled my lungs as my eyes closed finally giving in to the unbeatable battle.

My eyes fluttered open quickly as I sighed feeling the cool unnatural air float around me. Even though it was cool inside the car the sun still glared down through the pane of glass heating up my face. Hearing the low soothing familiar voice beside me singing along to the radio made me smile completely forgetting about my nightmare. "You missed the sign babe! We passed it about two hours ago, I took a picture of it anyway, I know we're only supposed to stop here a day but I really want to see the Space Centre in Houston and maybe we could see the Alamo in San Antonio since it's closer and we could visit San Antonio's River Walk I heard it's-" cutting him off from his rambling I leaned over and pecked him on the cheek his stumble tickling my lips.

"Lukey-Pukey it's not just my holiday it's yours as well we can do whatever you want" I smiled over at him as I seen his hazel eye's light up with excitement. "But this means I get to pick where we go after Colorado" I stuck my tongue out at him hearing him chuckle. We pulled off the highway into a small Petrol station, climbing out I went in to get snacks while Luke pumped the gas.

Grabbing a little mixture of everything sweet, I grabbed us a coffee and some more bottles of water since we need to stay hydrated in this heat. Strolling up to the desk I smiled at the man at the cash register who looked to be around my age "Hi, I was wondering do you know the fastest way too San Antonio" I questioned tapping my foot slightly.

He nodded and he began talking in his thick accent "Sure you keep going straight then when you come to the second junction you take that, then you wanna take a right and then a left and then-" cutting him off abruptly I kept my smile on my face.

"Sorry to interrupt but could you write all that down for me please?" Seeing the smirk on his face he turned to get a piece of paper jotting down the directions for me. Scanning all the items in he rang me up at twenty three dollars, handing him a thirty I smiled "You can keep the change, thanks for the help!" I called over my shoulder. Opening the door to exit with a plastic bag hanging from my arm and a holder with two cups of coffee the heat hit me hard in the face, I could already begin to feel the sweat drip down my back walking towards the car. My lungs filled up with the humid air making my throat feel dry and scratchy I'd prefer this then the ice cold salt water that forced its self down my esophagus in my dream. I shuddered at the thought of drowning, the motors of hundreds of cars rung in my ears as they flew down the motorway passing me. I wondered of all the different types of stories each passenger had shrugging I walked towards the average sized black car that Luke and I managed to save up for.

When I got into the car I got an amused look off of Luke. "What?" I grumbled irritated that I didn't know what he was laughing at.

"Enjoying that little conversation with Yourself there Isa" he teased his boisterous laughing filling up the car. Punching him in the arm I rolled my eyes, yes my lips sometimes move when I'm deep in thought and it looks like I'm talking to myself but it's not all that weird really my whole family does it. I sipped on my coffee scowling when a pain spread across my tongue since it was too warm.
