-Takumi POV-

"Okay then... if you won't go I'll just ask your brother..." Souma mused, continuing to flip through the cook book.

"You don't need to bother my brother. I never said that I wouldn't go." I gave a sigh of feigned annoyance, turning away so Souma couldn't see the excitement creeping across my face.

"Well then, that's decided! How about we go this Saturday?" he asked, oblivious to one blaringly obvious fact.

"T- this Saturday?" I replied dumbly, looking back at him, stunned. "Are you actually stupid, or do you live under a rock or something? This Saturday is Valentines, idiot!"

"Oh well!" He shrugged indifferently. "While everyone's taking a day off, this will be the perfect time to perfect a new dish!"

I merely grumbled underneath my breath.

~I guess it was like Wednesday or something so skip to Saturday because I'm lazy~

I had barely gotten any sleep in the past few days, and I had hardly eaten anything, either. That stupid Yukihira! Did he really think this was the right time to invite someone out, even if it was just for shopping? It was Valentines! What if someone saw us out together? What if someone thought we were... dating?

I turned bright red at the very notion, whipping my head back and forth to try and shake off that thought.

 I don't really like Souma... do I?

Flopping down on my bed, I tried to come up with all the reasons that I hated that idiot Souma.

Key word, "tried."

He's a clueless, foolish brat who couldn't lose any more brain cells if he tried! He always makes up those weird food combinations that should be considered health hazards! He's so arrogant and rude, but he's also funny... and generous.... and caring..... even a surprisingly good cook when he tries......

And he has a stupid, idiotic....... adorable........ smile......... and he's always nice to everyone.......... even me, who stepped on his foot in the first classes...........

Letting out a frustrated sigh, I dropped my head in my hands. This wasn't going to work out, was it?

Reluctantly getting up from my place in my bed, I walked over to my closet and pulled out a thin cerulean blue jacket over a simple white t-shirt, and wiggled into a pair of black jeans and grey slip-ons.

It was just shopping.

It couldn't be that bad... could it?
