Chapter One: The Big screen
You're more than you seem and you hold the key, without you, I'm only half of meee! I hear my phone ring with the new ring tone I just set. See, you might not care what my ringtone is, and if you heard it, you might be like, Omigod, I love you! Or you might be OH. MY. GOD. I. LOVE. YOU!" Usually, I get the more emotional one. Why? Because I am 7-time-Grammy-award-winning-pop-singer Jade.
This song is one of the songs on my new album "Almost There", and it's actually pretty cool because I wrote this song at age 11. I would never forget about it though, see I grew up in a very musical family and I performed that song at a couple family events. Now, I can't forget that song.
So, anyway, my phone rings and I pick up. "Hello?" I say. "Hey, Jade! I miss ya! Are you busy? Can I come over? I rented some movies!" Taylor. Or, as you might recognize her as, Taylor Swift. Sure, it's the year 2023 now and she isn't as big as she was, she's still one of my besties! I had true, non-famous best friends in middle and high school, but we lost touch and some even dumped me for popularity. I was so sad though because they were funny and great and I loved them so much!
"Sure Taylor, but there's a micro problem." I say, hoping she doesn't mind. She has a little...a little bit of feelings towards my boyfriend in which I shared an house with. "What's that?" she asks. "Umm...Harry is home and inviting the boys over to watch the basketball game." Yup, Harry Styles is my boyfriend.
"Ick, I still don't know what you seem in him! I mean, when I dated him-" she started to say but I cut her off. "10 years ago?" I asked with a smug smile on my face. Every time we talk on the phone this comes up. "Yeah, so? Big deal, it was 10 years ago!" she responded back quickly, even though I couldn't see her, I could tell she was blushing.
"You seriously held, and are still holding, a grudge for that long?" I ask. She starts to say something, but hesitates. "Look, let's make a deal. You are engaged to Ed, I'm to Harry. So, since it's still January, let's make a belated resolution. I don't make fun of, gag at, tease, and/or do or say anything offensive to Ed, and you don't to Harry. Deal?" I state quickly, begging in my head that she says agrees.
She thinks about this for a moment, and then says "Fine." Okay, got that outta the way! "So, what movie did you rent?" I ask, getting back to business. "The new one with Jermaine South. My brother filmed it, or should I say, helped, since he was not the only one filming."
"OK, cool. Come on over! But, BTW, I would've invited you over whatever the movies were." I say, laughing.
"OK, well, I'm cool with Harry and the boys coming over too, but I just need one little request." she said, slowing down at the end. "And what would the be, T? " I ask happily, since I finally got Taylor to stop picking on Harry. "The 'big screen' at your house...is OURS."
