I hung up on the phone after saying bye to fell.

         I put my phone in my pocket and headed out the door without saying 'bye' to Papyrus. 'Should I go back?' I asked myself. I decided not to. I had to get to work before my father-...

                         My father. He is still alive right? Honestly, after hearing about how he 'died', from everyone else at the Christmas party, I wasn't sure anymore. I hoped not. But we had gotten Into a pretty bad fight as of recent. It was about our experiments, and how he got the material for said experiments.

       I don't know. I was just really upset, and he went to his lab in our house to get away from our argument. It happened before the Christmas party, and we didn't really stay around each other for various reasons while we were at the party. He seemed to creep up on the other Sans'/giggle in the corner. I didn't question it, I didn't want question it.

         But, I figured after the party he was a little bit happier. And, I wasn't going to ruin it. But I was still very mad at him for what we were doing. We were extracting traits from humans. Some, he killed, himself. We wanted to use the traits of humans to create artificial souls to break the barrier. That was the goal from the beginning, and after all this time, we still weren't even that close.

        But that's enough of my rambling. I needed to get to the CORE. I was in Waterfall when I realized I could just teleport there.

         I got to Hotland, and started walking the rest of the way to work. I was about to walk in, when I heard sirens go off outside. It was the emergency Alarms. Before I even had a chance to process what was going on, I saw something flash by me and u saw the doors open and close. But before they closed, I saw a red scarf go through.

     I ran into the building, just hoping everyone was okay. Everything was happening at once, and I was scared. I didn't know what was going on. But once I entered the building, I saw something I never wanted to imagine.

      Cracks in the floor stretched to the roof, broken wires were flying everywhere and were out of control. Screams could be heard from every direction. Dust clouded the air, sending flashbacks back into my skull about my short time on the surface. Bits of monsters were scattered under fallen debris.

          I heard screaming from one direction, it sounded like Alphys. She wasn't dead yet! I could save her.

         I went into the direction of her screaming, and turned the corner to see her being pulled out from under a knocked over vending machine by someone. The person was behind the vending machine so I couldn't see them. I heard Alphys thank the person, and then they ran off. They turned the corner, and I, once again, saw the red scarf.

           I went to Alphys and helped her up. She looked like she had a broken leg from the vending machine falling in her. "What's going on?", I asked her. "I am n-not positive. I... I think Dr. Gaster did something. What happened w-was... He shut down the CORE before it was supposed to be shut down, with everyone still inside. H-he tried to use the other soul traits in the machine to make a soul. E-everything backfired. He didn't use the determination though. H-H-He....", she trailed off, and started to cry.

       "Alphys! What did he do?" I asked, holding her shoulders. "He injected DT into himself!", she yelled. No... He... He knows what happens to monsters when they have too much... This can't be right. I had to find him, but I couldn't leave Alphys alone. I helped her up, and let her have my shoulder to help her up. We ran out as soon as possible and I dropped her outside.
