I dedicate this chapter to Holmzy1 for always finding time to read and support..

Hey everyone, before you read on, I would like you guys to leave a comment on something, please.

Dave's girlfriend will be revealed this chapter.

HINT: You have all been introduced to her earlier on.

QUESTION: who do you think she is?

So now, Enjoy...

Rachel walks stiffly over to the buffet table, her bare legs felt cold but the success of the party overwhelmed her with happiness, so much happiness in fact that the chilly air made her feel wistful and content.

Just moments earlier, Julia Bradley had come over to thank her. She literally was smitten by Rachel's work and this made Rachel so happy. She would definitely get a higher commission.

Rachel let out a small breath in glee looking around. Some people already looked tipsy. Her eyes landed on Trisha Lane on the other side of the party, Kaitlain's best friend. She seemed to be in deep conversation with someone over the phone. Weird.

"Hello Shortie!" Rachel whips around in slight surprise as Dave's voice breaks her from staring at Trisha.

She looks at him, his short auburn hair is pulled back and shiny, probably from alot of gel. His dark blue eyes seemed to glisten and he looked absolutely gorgeous in the black tuxedo he had on.

Dave had a glass of white wine in his hand and he looked happy, loose even like he was on the brink of losing some control and acting well drunk but Rachel knew him well enough to know he hadn't taken enough alcohol to mess with his senses.

"Oh Dave!" Rachel finally lets out a wide, welcoming smile "Hey."

"Nice party Shortie." Dave pats Rachel's bare shoulder in congratulations, his smile going from ear to ear.

"Thank you Dave" Rachel blinks hard, savouring the moment, the appreciation. This was truly what she lived for; acknowledgement.

"And surprisingly, you're looking very beautiful tonight." Dave lets his words draw out before quickly adding "Thanks to my mother of course!"

Rachel scoffs gruffly.

"I don't know if I should take that as a compliment or an insult." She folds her arms playfully.

"However is fine." Dave teases, poking her at her side in the process.

Rachel erupts in short bursts of laughter, trying to keep her balance in the process.

"Annoying!" Rachel creaks as Dave looks back at her, amusement gleaming in his eyes.

"Yes Shortie." He leans in to her, his breath slightly laced with alcohol as he says "I love you too." and then moves away slightly, chuckling.

"Funny!" Rachel shoves him a bit and then pushing a short lock of her black hair behind her ear trying to hide the small smile which threatened to form on her lips.
"I brought this for you." Dave outstretches the glass of white wine in his hand towards Rachel and she accepts it.

Rachel takes a quick sip, suddenly realizing that she is thirsty. Very thirsty. No surprises though considering how much she's been working today.

"So where's your girlfriend Dave?" Rachel asks as she moves the wine glass away from her lips "Don't tell me she finally came to her senses, realized that you're a mistake and ditched you?" She says with a pout.
