The Promise

The Promise Chapter One

The cool breeze brushed over my face, the grass blowing from it.

My life's been split into two from my promise, the worst mistake of a lifetime.

It all started my freshmen year, high school. *Flashback*

"Lucy come on!" Whitney shouted as she dragged me across the barren halls."Ugh, what the hell Whitney?" I half whispered half shouted in rage "We could have gotten caught with all of your noise!"

"Oh come on, Adam's going to be here any minute, and the school is empty..." Whitney sighed as she pulled up her sleeve, checking her watch for the hour.

"It's 11, he's still not here... " she grunted impatiently as she paced, waiting for the man in question to arrive.

"Maybe he lied, maybe it's not filled with a "ghost" or some other worthless crap we don't need to deal with."

I scoffed as I stormed off the the restrooms.

I felt the cold splash of water particles on my face as I threw the refreshing water form the sink onto my face, sighing in relief. I stared at my reflection, red hair, brown eyes, pale, I hated my looks more than ever now, I'm so ugly.

My eyes flickered over to the mysterious figure in the corner of a stall, giggling like a maniac. "Whitney, This isn't funny!" I shouted as my voice trembled, finally turning around to face the figure.

"Hello Lucy Heart, have you ever wanted something? More than ever? Love, fortune, dead people everywhere, oh, what a lovely thing that would be." the figure snickered entering the light. She had crazily spiked pink hair and bright blue eyes, that when she blinked turned black.

"H-h-h?" I couldn't utter words from my mouth from it being covered by the creatures hand.

"Just say yes, and all your wishes will come true, for just a tiny thing for me." She grinned evilly as she removed her hand from my mouth.

"Y-yes." I states proudly, fortune and fame wouldn't be half bad, heck, she can have her little tiny thing.

"Lovely.." the creature chuckled, but then soon evaporates in thin air.

"Where di-" I was shocked by her next action, she became black smoke, and went inside of me, now she is part of me, this tiny thing, pays a big price.
