"Are you sure you want to do this?" Lukkas asked as I swung my leg over the side of he buggy, hitting pavement.
"I have to. I have to Lukkas. Besides, he should have found a soulmate by now and has probably forgotten about me."
He nodded and followed me.
We both stopped at the entrance of the school building. Exchanging glanced we continued, arms interlocked.
We exchanged quick complement walking in with our old friends, and headed straight to the cafeteria.
Huddson sat at our old table, waving at us. With his right arm, which was odd since Hudd was left handed.
"Hey Hudd." Lukkas said evenly, sitting across from him.
"Lukkas." He nodded, eyes not blinking.
"Its nice to see you again Rainia." His gaze shifted to me with the accompaniment of a smile.
"You too Hudd." I sat with Lukkas.
"Hows farmwork?" Lukkas asked politely.
"Pretty good, but it's a lot of work I have to say." He grinned, eyes shining. "What about you guys? How's defense?" he asked.
"Fun, but time consuming. We have to get up at four."
Hudd nodded.
"So..." I cleared my throat. "Have you found your soulmate?"
"No." he said, returning my gaze. "I cut my arm off." He pulled up the sleeve on his left arm, revealing a missing limb. The cut had been right above his elbow and left an awkward stump.
"Oh." Lukkas said shortly, staring in worry.
"Why did you cut your arm off?" I asked wearily.
"I know I was meant to be with you."
Lukkas stood up abruptly. "Rain wasnt meant to be with anyone other than me." His eyes were fixated on a corner of the table.
Huddson compied his move, standing calmly. "We both know that isn't true."
"Huddson, I don't want to make a scene, but you need to understand that Rain is my soulmate."
"No." He shook his head. "Rain is my soulmate. I am supposed to be with her."
"No, Huddson, Rain is with me and we're happy. You can't love her."
I sat, eyes flicking between the two, not sure how everything went downhill so fast.
"You don't understand." Huddson was shaking his head still, sadness painted over his face. "She's mine."
"You listen Huddson." Lukkas snarled, taking a step forwards. "Rain doesn't belong to anyone. She isn't mine and she definitely isn't yours. If you ever act like you can posses a woman again - Rain or anyone else for that matter - I will make sure that you are stuck in a prison and dealt with."
I stood, realizing things were about to go bad. People had turned heads, wondering why there was an argument. Visiting days were supposed to be fun after all.
"We need to go." I looked at Lukkas, wrapping my arm around his elbow, pulling him with me.
I looked back before we left the cafeteria and saw Huddson. He was still standing, looking like he had heard the most shocking thing in his life. His eyes were full of emotion and questions, but empty and lifeless at the same time.
"I'm sorry Rain. I didn't mean to mess things up." Lukkas mumbled, rubbing his neck with a concerned look.
"I'm not mad Lukkas. And about what you said... Thanks. It means a lot." I offered him a smile which he returned.
